I remember watching the original and it was probably the chilliest children show I’ve seen. The world felt so alive for being in stop motion. I hated it SO MUCH when they changed it to CGI
Michael Brandon is my favorite narrator of all time and will always be, hearing his narration will always remind me of the good old times from back then
I remember watching series 1-5 and Calling All Engines on DVD and series 6-12 and The Great Discovery on ABC For Kids. Sweet nostalgia that I will treasure forever!
My fav episodes from Series 11 are Gordon and the Mechanic Hector the Horrid Cool Truckings Wash behind your buffers Dream on Hide and peep Sir Handel in Charge
Seeing as the year 2000 is the year many things peaked and then declined, I’m not surprised. And apparently “In September 2020, it was announced that the film would be re-released in theaters on October 24, 2020, for the film's 20th anniversary.” - Wikipedia “HiT said that its theatrical division would be piloted by a Thomas film. Originally targeted for a late 2010 release,[44] in September 2009 this was revised to Spring 2011.[45] As of January 2011, the release date had been pushed back further, to 2012. The initial draft of the script was written by Josh Klausner, who has also said that the film would be set around the times of World War II; Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi also helped write the script.[46] On June 8, 2011, it was announced that 9 director Shane Acker would direct the live-action adaptation of The Adventures of Thomas, with Weta Digital designing the film's visual effects.[47] On October 6, 2020, it was announced that Marc Forster would be directing a new theatrical live-action/animated Thomas & Friends movie.[7] According to Mattel Films Schedule release, the film is titled Thomas & Friends: The Movie.” - Also Wikipedia
Don’t get me wrong, I grew up with the hit era. In fact, it was my introduction to Thomas, though now that I’m older, I’m disappointed with it. It has so much wasted potential characters like Neville. Molly, and Hank had wasted potential for great stories.
for my cannon of ttte tamtr is a long dream that thomas had one night and thats why lady appeared in his dream again and the only thing that was real from his dream was diesel 10
Unpopular opinion: The Model Series (S1-11, Jack and the Pack, TATMR and TGD) of Thomas triumphs over the CGI Series and, of course, that awful reboot.... *Cough-Cough* ...All Engines Go.... The older episodes and the two movies wonderfully vary so much in tone! The crew of the Model Series didn't let their children-centric audience restrict them on the kinds of stories they wanted to tell. The Classic Series told all genres of stories and that's what made them so enjoyable. Kids that liked thrills and spills could enjoy the action-packed episodes (Such as Busy Going Backwards and Rusty and the Boulder), kids that liked eerie and creepy stuff could enjoy the spooky episodes (Such as Ghost Train, Duncan Gets Spooked, Halloween, etc) and kids that liked comdey could enjoy the funny episodes (Such as No Sleep for Cranky, Thomas' Trusty Friends, Thomas the Jet Engine, etc). The CGI Series tries its best, however it just doesn't do very well when it comes to playing with tone (At least when it comes to their episodes, in the specials they actually do a good job at playing with tone there). To me, S1-11, Jack and the Pack, TATMR and TGD has a lot more charm to them. My apologies to those who like the CGI Series....
If it wasn't for that tragic failure abomination that was, Magic Railroad, the show would have still at it's peek today, and not that babywashing crap that was the Hit, Miller, & BWBA era or AEG
Oh sweet nostalgia. I've said many times that I grew up on Shining Time Station. I still do love it, and its theme song still holds a special place in my heart, and the fact that George Carlin played Mr. Conductor still gets me giddy. He actually pulled it off quite well, and he was good with kids. He has a daughter after all, so I'm glad he wasn't strictly and 18+ comedian. I was a 90s kid back in the day, and I actually have a die-cast Thomas somewhere. Also I'm going to point that I still have a copy of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, and I don't think it's THAT bad. However I say you should ABSOLUTELY do a full review of it and the other movies. Great job as always. Keep it up.
Yeah, why didn't they do a scrap Oliver and toad? Bachmann is known for repainting a lot of their Thomas models, why don't they repaint Oliver and toad?
Aaah, this bring back memories... *sigh *. I loved this when I was little, and honestly, I rarely pick up on all the things most people do so I just generally enjoyed every season. I admit that i did prefer the CGI episodes because I preferred when the characters had individual voices and also I liked seeing the lips move for speech, but I loved all the season
Trust me Vincent, We all had a soft spot for this blue engine as kids
And still hold him in deep regard as adults.
Don’t you mean nostalgia TRAIN.
Yah.

From all of those “All Thomas intros” videos, I think most people prefer the models over the cgi.

The best series ever made
Do a chuggington review
Omg do we love all the same books and shows? First Wings of fire, then Ninjago, then TTTE?! Unfortunately I never watched geo trax
Except in your pfp you appear to have seen the outside world, whereas this small creator likely has had no such experience
@@LunaRealized how?
I remember that tv series on DVD watching where the chilling thing it was incredible.
*THOMAS THE TRAIN ENGINE MUSIC INTENSIFIES EVEN MORE*

Dude, you have the exact same opinion as me! I never knew how to put it in words but you just did! I love this review! Good job!

I love Thomas and Friends
I did not go through all of that for possibilities to die- please tell me it's still being worked on
Don’t worry, it’s far from dead
Why couldn’t they do a Bachmann model of Oliver and Toad in they scrap versions that could make a lot more money if they made these models would they?
Yeah, why didn't they do a scrap Oliver and toad? Bachmann is known for repainting a lot of their Thomas models, why don't they repaint Oliver and toad?
Did you grow up with wooden train sets too?
Cool
Fun video!!
Mate, you mean season seven NOT eight
Pretty nice video.
