I need to visit York! As a Yank, my wife and two boys visited London, Edinburgh, and Dublin about 15 years ago. Loved the museums. Seeing the Rosetta stone was the highlight of the trip!
Paul, I’d recommend getting an iPad if you want to edit on the run. They’re really light weight & very capable of meeting a lot of workflow requirements!
Love this one Paul, reminded me of when my wife Liz and I spent a day in York many years ago. We should really go back! Glad you both had such a good time.
If you ever go into the Minster, i recommend booking to see the Crypt. The Minster is built on top of the Roman Basillica of which the remains are still down there
Great little video, so much info packed into a short amount of Time. I’m a signaller on the railway. Most trains now have auto couplers so very little manual coupling of trains, but even in the 90s this was still standard practice to step between the engine/loco and the carriages for coupling. I was told by an old shunter that someone he knew died coupling a set and the engine was doing about 3 mile an hour……the weight and force behind it is so massive. As for that speed record, 126mph….there is not a great deal of trains in the uk that do those speeds even today. Back then…..it was steam, iron, heat and tough men.
Another enjoyable video thanks. You managed to do a lot in just one day.. Editing spot on, which proves most people spend too long doing edit etc. A lesson to be learned there, thanks. Reminds me of a friend who worked in the BBC new sroom in Bangor, years ago. He said they would have film come in while the news was airing, and still get the story out before the end of the program. He said they could not understand how the drama department could spend 3 months editing one show.
Wow! Bl00dy brilliant day out that was. And thank you for taking us with you. Not sure I could cope with editing a vlog on my phone, so kudos to your for that too. Wonder where you'll take us tomorrow..... P.S. Charity shops are the bomb... great for those bargain books, I found some good ones recently to donate to the school library - some smaller boys keen on dinosaur books are gonna be happy.
I love York and worked there for five years. Working for the council allowed me to get into all the visitor attractions and behind the scenes in many. The Yorvik museum is always busy. I've been into the Railway Museum many times and never get bored. Great vlog, thanks for the memories.
✈️✈️YOU SHOULD DO A CHEAP WILD CAMP ABROARD, WHERE YOU JUMP ON A CHEAP FLIGHT WITH A CARRY ON BAG FULL OF CAMPING GEAR AND SLEEP ON A HILL THEN FLY BACK!!!🛩🛩
Paul that was very good seeing you in York nice bit of history as well and with your young lady as well looked a very nice day sun out nice hope you enjoyed it take care and enjoy blessed be
Nice vid. What was the deal with that guy with the chain around his neck behind the post, friend of yours? Wouldn’t mind if you did a vid about the long boat channels in England, always been curious about those.
Absolutely cracking video, when you two go out it’s full of fun and laughs, nearly spit me tea out when Jo mentioned something about ..dickus…😂 and what a nice place to visit. So video idea..hire a narrow boat for the day…? Pony trekking..? A cycle ride or tandem..? 👍😃
Loved this! I’m in Canada. Never been to Britain. I loved the way you two brought us around to visit. You could go from hiking to true tourism? I’d really love it!😊
When i was at school, in geography class, our teacher taught us that the Roman name for york was Eboracum. When would i ever need this nonsense, i thought. Then my best friends came to visit me from Manchester to Doncaster. (Mancunium to Danum) I was so proud to advise my friends that Eboracum was just up the road from Donny. Knowledge is power.
Looked like a great day out ❤ LOL -> Did you just erase 450 years of Anglo-Saxon history in just one sentence? 😮 I've never understood the obsession over only 90 years of Danish rule 🤔
I liked the change in scenery from camping to city, I’m liking all the new short videos actually! Shorter, more frequent and more Raw works for me. I rarely have time to sit down for the longer videos during the week, then I end up forgetting. The shorter ones are a lot more accessible for me
Got to say these daily videos are excellent this one being my favorite so far being a steam train enthusiast. 👌You and Jo are going to need a holiday by the end of the month 😎 😉
No offence to you Paul, but Jo was definitely the star of this video. She was funny, thoughtful, talented, emotional and VERY attractive....You had best treat her right and keep her in the style that she has become accustomed to or 'someone' might try to woo that lovely lady away from you....not that I, I mean 'they', would stand a chance as anyone can clearly see how well suited and loving you two guys are...❤ Seriously though mate, please make more of these kind of videos because as much as I enjoy your 'solo' videos, we all know that without a loving, supportive partner behind you, none of those videos would have been possible, and that would have been a loss to us all. I look forward to whatever video you release next mate, just keep them coming 👍
Couldn't agree more about the PM. Anyway, I love York, and have been sooooo many times. A favourite was when I was posted just up the road at RAF Leeming with the Royal Engineers unit 10 Sqn. It was being shut down so we did a bunch of fun stuff to use all the money up. We had to do tasks all round York. Not allowed any phones, money or anything like that and had to complete as many tasks as possible throughout the day. Things like acquiring food and getting the team under water. Had to get creative with that one. Anyway the highlight was going to York FC to score a penalty. Unfortunately the groundsman had left so we borrowed a football from the shop on sight and did it in the car park 😂😂.
Well done, Paul. These are turning out to be an excellent set of videos. It is certainly fresh to see these in a relatively off the cuff and unedited format. I marvel at your imagination to come up with something new and different every day! Here's an idea - come to Holmfirth - plenty to film - you could even take in Honley Show at the end of the month, where you might meet me with flat cap and Whippet.

Great tour around York. Thanks. You two are a scream. Keep it up.
Not much left of the Viking period
Paul, I’d recommend getting an iPad if you want to edit on the run. They’re really light weight & very capable of meeting a lot of workflow requirements!
Many thanks for this video. You’ve shown me a place I would never have seen otherwise. Grateful. Show us what becomes of the tiny Monet😊

Fantastic job Paul and Joe , full of laughs
Brilliant.
I'm loving these dailys. 👍🏻
Great day. Really found this interesting. Really enjoyable thank you.
So glad you made it to the Railway Museum - proper engineering, no computers involved in the design of those trains...👍
Well done Paul, really enjoyed the video of you both going walkabout.
Nice to see more of Jo ❤you look like a great matched couple enjoying some jollies ❤
The Artist's Handbook! I had that book when I was studying art at university! Brilliant! How fun was was that. I want to go to the Train Museum!!
Well, that was a work mate sat in front of the bar in Valhalla and i was sat in the pub behind you!

I hope Jo's itchy nose feels better soon. ;-)

So where was Incontinentia Buttocks?
Love York. I am there regularly as my daughter has a flat there. I was there the last few days. I wished I'd come across you.
Going into York is on my bucket list. I've been many times but just the station on my way to Newcastle...who are a great team by the way. Great video

You may need to adminster something Paul?
The original Monet is much larger, this is the abridged version... 🙂
I'm really enjoying these daily vlogs, keep them coming!
Touching that the missus has such an emotional connection to that Monet. The power of art.

Great vlog, as always

The Flying Scotsman is the 'brother' of Gordon in Thomas the Tank Engine......
Thanks for sharing. Its great to see what’s around the region and we appreciate the effort of filming and editing all in the one day.

really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing 👍
Couple goals!
You two are gentle, sweet and playful with each other. What more could one ask for in a partner?
Loved this video. Great job. Didn't expect to hear Sweet Home Alabama playing in the background of a Viking bar in York.
Is there a wildcamping museum in your country?
Definitely need Jo in more of your videos 😂
Thank you. You might enjoy todays video then

Great fun, love the good natured ribbing, made me laff
I thought that was Diagone ally lol.
I really want to go to York now, and as an added bonus there’s a Cinnabon there also 😋
😮 I’m missed that, but that’s a good enough reason to go back!
@@happycreativemind I believe it’s located in the ASDA, definitely a good reason to go back.

Fun stuff! Monet was a you-tuber before digital media.

Great vlog, nice to see something different. Maybe a side line to the other adventures, Paul and Jo’s tourist vlog?

Fantastic tour 👌🏻 Definitely elevated with the “Jo Effect”. I bet this would be another brilliant video during the Christmas Holiday Season.
Great video, I used to live in York, amazing place.
I really enjoyed this definitely a change of pace and York seems like a beautiful and interesting place! Thanks Paul!
great vid

What is it with Sweet Home Alabama and you Brit’s? The Kiwis play the sh*t out of it as well.😂
What app do you use to edit your videos?
main thing is if you are having fun making the videos
It's a completely different kind of video from you, but I really enjoyed it. I'd love to see more of it. 👍
I cannot wait for you guys to blow up! Awesome job on the new song!
Man, great museums have to go there. Good vid, one of the best.
