vlog/comment: We have another syndication fail. I don't know how most newspapers will run it. I did look the original NY Times print up this time, and the missing first word (WAVED/CURLED/TILTED/LINED) was implied by how the grid was drawn where the theme entries lie. Fortunately enough, the puzzle was otherwise easy enough this time to overcome the missing elements. Regardless though, the puzzle makes no sense as presented and should have been dealt with otherwise.
