It's kinda funny how unlucky the disaster curses are. Hanami was killed by the strongest sorcerer, Gojo. Dagon was killed by the strongest non-sorcerer, Toji. Jogo was killed by the King of "Curses", Sukuna. And two of those weren't even on the sorcerer's side, they were just causing chaos lmao.

Makima and Shigaraki are better. Sukuna doesn't have much depth to be called the best new gen villain. Makima and Shigaraki completely blow him out of the water in depth and in almost any villain category.
I love the comparison of Gojo mocking Jogo as weak and Sukuna acknowledging him as being strong. Jogo was always getting tossed around but he doesn’t back down even up against the top fighters🔥

It took me a bit to realize it was definitely Kagenashi, which makes me appreciate this ep a whole lot more. For those unfamiliar, this shadowless style of animation is used to represent stronger expressions, and by eliminating details, it puts an emphasis on and enhances silhouettes and movement, making for a more fluid range of motion. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but it's something on it's own to be appreciated. I myself don't enjoy kagenashi too much, but for what was being animated, I'm glad they went with this style in the ep. ^-^
i don't understand it either. he is the main character without being the main character which i really like. after watching Bleach and seeing Ichigo steal the screen for 90% of the time, i like how Itadori doesn't see himself as the main character but the missing puzzle to the team.

As a manga reader, while I get excited whenever the eps come out, I’m more excited to watch reactions bcs I already know what happens, ep 13 (Choso vs Yuji) blew my mind, but THIS episode had my jaw on the floor, it was INCREDIBLE, it was so hype. The director and animators killed it, even with the extra scenes for Toji vs Megumi. While this whole time we’ve seen Toji as uncaring, we can finally see here how much he truly loved his son, he unalived himself to protect Megumi from the last orders he was given. Yuji is our MC not because he is the strongest, but because he is brave and good, because we see the world through his eyes, we learn with him, and because he isn’t the strongest we can get struggle, the real kind too. If I’m right and next episode ends where I think it will end, it’s gonna break my fcking heart. I really hope episode 17 ends with the adaptation of chapter 120, bcs that chapter came out on my birthday and it tore me apart.

To answer Taylor's question: Kusabake (the guy sucking on a lollipop) is Miwa's (the self proclaimed 'useless' girl with blue hair) teacher. Neither of them have Curses Techniques, so Kusakabe learned Simple Domain: New Shadow Style to compensate, which has made him one of the stronger Grade 1 sorcerers. He's been teaching Miwa to do the same. So yes, Taylor was right. Blue haired girl uses the same technique as lollipop dude, just way less efficiently.
New Shadow Style is a collection of sword techniques for people having no CT aka "weapons for the weak", and Simple Domain aka "domain for the weak" is one of them to counter opponents having DE.

This episode was FIRE! Literally 🔥 First of all, damn Toji is really HIM! Such as badass and it kinda sucks to see him go, but at least he stopped himself from harming Megumi any further. Though I wish he would have talked to him some more. Then boom Shigemo comes out of nowhere and slashes our boy. I knew the bastard was still alive. Kusakabe has got to be the most realistic and relatable character. It was cool to see him interact with Geto’s “Family” who I definitely wanna see more of as well. That battle between Sukuna and Jogo was nothing short of nuts! Not sure if this was the actual “Incident” but I think melting and blowing up the city would constitute as one. Kinda had me feel for Jogo at the end though, but it was his misfortune to go against such monsters. Though him being recognized as strong was cool and hearing how Mahito can get stronger was interesting. Sukuna just crashes anything he wants even if it’s a meeting in the afterlife 😆 He’s really at the top of the food chain and I really want to know more about his abilities and what he said to Jogo. Apparently he seems to know the bowl cut person, who’s finally been named. Don’t know what the hell that curse was at the end, but Shigemo can get bodied for all I care. I hope our Jujutsu High people are alright and I need the next episode to get here already!
Toji's mind had been twisted. His basic urges told him simply to go after the strongest. But when he regained control for a moment and thought about his son, he was filled with joy to know that Gojo kept his promise. Megumi wasn't a Zenin. He hadn't been sold off. And thus, to both protect his son if he lost control again and relief that his last wish before his death had been fulfilled, Toji took his own life. What a phenomenal character. Now, onto the main event. Sukuna vs JoGOAT. A lot of people were surprised at how Jogo speed blitzed Maki, Nanami and Noabito. But he's powerful. Had he gone up against a 2 or 3 finger Sukuna, he would've wiped the floor with him. He's about as strong as 8 or 9 fingers of Sukuna's power. But unfortunately, he fought Sukuna at 15 fingers. Nearly double the amount of power in fingers than the estimate "Geto" told him he was capable of. But even then, even Sukuna admits that some of Jogo's attacks would've still done damage if they had hit. Had it been against a 10 or 11 finger Sukuna, he would've struggled but he might've actually been able to land a hit. It wasn't that Jogo was weak, he just had the misfortune of facing the strongest sorcerer and the king of curses at nearly full power. Stand proud, Jogo. You're strong. Being complimented by the King Of Curses doesn't come easy. Now, Hanami, Dagon and Jogo have all moved on. Until they one day are born again. They have entrusted everything to Mahito.
Trusty leaker has told that next ep quality will be even better than this ep like how lol. The only person that i could think who could surpass this ep is Hakuyu Go the one who directed mob s2 ep 5
The craziest part is when Jogo started tearing up asking what is this and Sukuna replied with I wouldn't know what that is or how that feels really just shows where he is in the food chain. This anime is so well written man 🔥🔥
JJK is similar to HxH where there are arcs where Gon is not the focal point. Having great characters in your series allows you to have several main characters that change from arc to arc. Alot of series can’t pull that off
that's what i am saying!!! i haven't watched HxH yet but seeing Itadori being the main character but not the vocal point of the series makes this anime 100x than some anime like Bleach. we see each character develop along with our MC which was my complain with Bleach.

Those are the names of Sukuna's main techniques (I don't know if he has others, because I am not a manga reader, but Jogo makes it seem like he doesn't, or at least shouldn't have others). I'm not sure why these subs changed it and left out the technique names
See, everyone who are used to watching anime KNOWS that this is some of the best looking and most well animated fights we've seen in awhile. The animators really delivered on this episode, I know that they got a famous director to animate this ep and my God did he cook. JJK should win anime of the year honestly.

This episode was FIRE! Literally 🔥 First of all, damn Toji is really HIM! Such as badass and it kinda sucks to see him go, but at least he stopped himself from harming Megumi any further. Though I wish he would have talked to him some more. Then boom Shigemo comes out of nowhere and slashes our boy. I knew the bastard was still alive. Kusakabe has got to be the most realistic and relatable character. It was cool to see him interact with Geto’s “Family” who I definitely wanna see more of as well. That battle between Sukuna and Jogo was nothing short of nuts! Not sure if this was the actual “Incident” but I think melting and blowing up the city would constitute as one. Kinda had me feel for Jogo at the end though, but it was his misfortune to go against such monsters. Though him being recognized as strong was cool and hearing how Mahito can get stronger was interesting. Sukuna just crashes anything he wants even if it’s a meeting in the afterlife 😆 He’s really at the top of the food chain and I really want to know more about his abilities and what he said to Jogo. Apparently he seems to know the bowl cut person, who’s finally been named. Don’t know what the hell that curse was at the end, but Shigemo can get bodied for all I care. I hope our Jujutsu High people are alright and I need the next episode to get here already!

Toji's mind had been twisted. His basic urges told him simply to go after the strongest. And thus, to both protect his son if he lost control again and relief that his last wish before his death had been fulfilled, Toji took his own life. What a phenomenal character.
Now, onto the main event. Sukuna vs JoGOAT. A lot of people were surprised at how Jogo speed blitzed Maki, Nanami and Noabito. But he's powerful. Had he gone up against a 2 or 3 finger Sukuna, he would've wiped the floor with him. He's about as strong as 8 or 9 fingers of Sukuna's power. But unfortunately, he fought Sukuna at 15 fingers. Nearly double the amount of power in fingers than the estimate "Geto" told him he was capable of. But even then, even Sukuna admits that some of Jogo's attacks would've still done damage if they had hit. Had it been against a 10 or 11 finger Sukuna, he would've struggled but he might've actually been able to land a hit. It wasn't that Jogo was weak, he just had the misfortune of facing the strongest sorcerer and the king of curses at nearly full power. Stand proud, Jogo. You're strong. Being complimented by the King Of Curses doesn't come easy. Now, Hanami, Dagon and Jogo have all moved on. Until they one day are born again. They have entrusted everything to Mahito.

JJK is similar to HxH where there are arcs where Gon is not the focal point. Having great characters in your series allows you to have several main characters that change from arc to arc. Alot of series can’t pull that off
