  • Running engines "C" and "D" in unison. A wonderfully quiet Symphony orchestra.

I found you via Keith Appletons videos and was just watching a load of your state side stuff so was amazed to find these clips of a fairly local engine to me, did you get to see the A and B engines I've not actually visited in over 10 years but they were in an "as found" state all rusty. If you are ever in this part of the world again Abbey Pumping station in Leicester isn't too far away and has some large beam engines that get steamed a few times though the year along with a fine collection of industrial things.

What are all those cams used for?

Those operate the valves of the engine. There are eight in total, four per cylinder. One admission and one exhaust per end.

    Bonjour Alexander,
Your videos are too short, please take time to film more :+)
Question : In two of your videos, you say "Charge", what does it mean in terms of start process, I do not see any equivalent on my little models ?

      Which videos do you mean?

@@AEKarnes Bonjour Alexander, all the ones which last less than 1 minute :+)
And please, could you give me the meaning of "Charge" you says several times in other videos?
      Amicalement, Raphaël

I am trying to figure out exactly what you mean, do I say "Charge" referring to a piece of equipment specifically or an operation it undergoes?

      @@AEKarnes Bonjour Alexander,
Ah ! The langage bareer :+) I refer to an operation it undegoes, it seems thet you ask someone to "chatge" something when you open a valve. I will find where I heard it and put a comment on your video.

Better make short videos like Alex does instead of too many long boring and bad filming videos with useless commentaries.
