It's funny i use to pump full time, done alot of work @ site C with a roll and fold 40m alliance on a mack. Super fun pumping in -25 c lol. Just found your channel, frigin great stuff. Definitely makes me miss it. Thanks for the great content.
@@sjaderlund We avoid at all costs blocking a driveway with the pump, but with the mixers we can always move them out of the way quickly and easily as such to allow traffic in/out of the driveway. Sometimes people just don't want them there in any way, shape or form, which can will do our absolute best to accommodate.
My favorite is when there are three different ways for someone to go around , they drive down the street with concrete trucks and my pump. Then ask if we can move the pump !

That’s an LED light which we custom mounted. It’s adjustable such that it can be pointed rearwards for when packing up in the dark, as well as downwards for when washing out. Works much better than the factory supplied lighting, in our opinion.
If you ever go on holiday in New Zealand I’ll definitely get you inducted on-site and you can bring your camera I’ll have to have a word with the concrete placers about family friendly vocabulary 😂

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 I had a 39 schwing on a pete with the cable Eaton and honestly I enjoyed it.. the only issue I had with that pump was the low hopper and Cummins emissions.
@@newrealm9187 This one has the ISX Cummins as well. It’s actually been rock solid reliable in terms of the emissions system. Probably built on a Wednesday 😂😂😂
Another theory since you live in Canada already. What if you just spray the inside of your hopper with maple sirup, will that reduce sticking in the hopper? 🤣

Completely agree! It is a bit deceiving however that boom lumps are always labeled in vertical reach, most customers I don’t think realize that…. come to think of it, I’ve met a few 5+ year operators whom didn’t even realize it 😂😂😂
Hey man, I’ve been a sub for a while now. Almost from the beginning some shwag would be nice😉😉 I’ve been busy and haven’t been able to post. I still watch the videos though. Gotta love resi jobs (NOT) lol. Definitely reassuring to see I’m not the only stress ball on some job sites too. Not to mention zero glasses, no hard hats, or other gear 😅 Last week I had to boom under much lower power lines than those. I was really close to saying, “I’m not doing this job”. Primed into my hopper, folded the boom up, move the mixer ahead a few feet so I could swing under the lines while folded up…unfold really low and close to the ground, prime 50ft of hose individually, and send them down a storm water man hole. I had dispatch calling me after 2 hrs asking if I was done 🙄. I also just started carrying sugar all the time and it’s saved my butt more than once in this heat. Awesome video man, and stay safe and be well out there brother

Commercial sites it’s full safety gear all the time, but the resi market out here is quite literally the wild wild West. I gave up on trying say “put your hard hat on” in no less than 7 different languages/dialects about 15 years ago 😂
In Nz at the moment it’s $250 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours however we’re between $25-$28 per cube after 40cube it’s all on cubic rate $7per metre of line/hose Slurry charge And travel cost outside of 50km range

I’ve learned a lot watching your videos, where I work they just gave me pump and said figure it out.

What sort of $/hr you get for a 38m pump? In Central Ab we are roughly $175/hr and $3/m3 pumped
$200-$235 (depending on the area). $4 per cubic meter pumped. Our operating costs in the greater Vancouver area are astronomical.
