Personally I would say handles are nothing but an advantage. I don’t see them getting in the way, being some kind of disadvantage, etc. People that say things like that I think are the habitual complainers, trash the positives, they have to find a negative angle to everything. I unfortunately have had the high displeasure of being a so-called coworker of some people that fit the negative stereotype. I say so called coworkers because they’re like termites. They don’t work like they’re with you, they work like they’re against you & anything positive. You & Jeff are all about the positives. Great job, content & thanks for taking the time to capture yours & others work. Great stuff!!!!

@@markbacker7862 Appreciate that Mark. I’m in agreement with you in that there really aren’t any negatives to having handles in the reducers, IMO.
I believe that it really comes down to enjoying what you do every day. Those whom don’t enjoy it will constantly complain, and those whom will complain perhaps here and there, but FAR less overall.
Appreciate you following both Jeff and myself 👊👊👊

ur error was having no grout in the first 2 steel pipes if u had primed from the 90 u would have made it all the way plus sometimes what i do is put the first bit off the mixer into a bucket so it aint as stoney at the start then once pumping throw in bk in if that makes sense ps love the vids learnt alot from urs and muddyfeets vids :)

@@dannyrees3324 so were we messed up (and I don’t know how we managed to miss this at the time), was by not adding enough primer to that first hose as such that when rolled back towards the pump it would carry over the crest in the system and and pass through the pipes and back elbow of the pump. That being said, I’m doubtful this mix would have made it “full-pull” even if the plan had been executed as intended. I’m very surprised it even made it all the way to the bottom of the hill and through the 2.5”-2” taper is it did.

41:43 I have similar success (lack of) with sucking back. 2 hoses, it’ll go. Any more and I’ll put air on the end and blow em back.
New wear parts or sacked out. Same results for me.

@@chandlerrudy I wasn’t expecting much with the attempt on sucking back up hill. Once that was of cardboard had accumulated a few shovels full of concrete in front of it, was game over. As you mention, attaching the air-compressor to the end hose and assisting the sponge back to the pump is a SOLID method for sure. 👍👍👍

They need to change the mix design so you can increse the slump to pump this sandy rock crap they use. 6 inch slump probably pump well in 2 inch hose. or just use 3 inch hose. you seem to be going the wrong direction on prime outs! Scott you have been better in the past! More bentonite and more slump!! I feel your frustration when she plugs!!

@@tomsoil9909 Definitely been in a bit of a slump (no pun intended) lately. My tired and true bentonite just seems to be no match for this current blend of materials in the mix. I’ve got a few things I’m planning on throwing into the mix (again, no pun intended) to try and get these prime-outs back on track.
