I got my set on the night of Jan.25,2023 and luckily my set was in perfect condition and had all the correct records. Three records had slight warps, but not enough to affect play. Stayed awake into the early morning and played 12 of the 16 records. i'll continue today.
Man, you do a really great job of unboxing videos. Excellent video! Thank you. I have the original black vinyl version and I am happy with it. But it was nice to see what the color version looks like. 👍
Thanks! Nice video. I missed out on the black vinyl version so I was quite happy that this was re-released in colored vinyl. I went through my set which arrived yesterday (#04303). I am quite pleased with the production quality of this box set. I examined each LP closely and they all look immaculate! I don't mind the colored vinyl at all - in fact I think that all of the discs look quite nice. Like you, my only quibble is that this set was not fitted with poly-lined inner sleeves. I added 2 mil. rounded bottom inner sleeves that fit perfectly into the harder stock inners provided with the set. Problem solved. Have not begun listening to these records yet so I've got quite a bit of Stones to hear in the immediate future. All my other Rolling Stones LPs have been in stereo only so this set will be quite the listening experience. Hoping and praying that The Beatles in Mono LP set will be re-released sometime in the near future as I didn't pick that one up back in the day either. Certainly the demand for it is there. The only nagging question is: What to do with that glossy paper backer slapped on the back of the box?
Paul mine arrived yesterday. Really flat pressings sound fantastic. Some people have the black vinyl say the black sounds better. I dint have black to compare. All I can say I have a Rega P3 turntable with an ortafon red needle and they sound fantastic. I think it's a myth that coloured vinyl sounds worst. I think there's more to it like mastering and pressings. Anyway nice video I'm very pleased I picked this up from whsmith no less. First thing I did is put polylined inners over the vinyl!
Thanks for this. Marvellous music, delivered on some not very exciting (at all IMO) vinyl colors. None of them seem to reflect the actual colours used in the artwork (I assume that that's difficult to do) so the overall effect is garish.
@@igorf2645 It is definitely No.2. on London. I can read the titles on the label. Either a mistake with his pressing or a mistake with the whole set. I really don’t think much of this box or the previous one for the money they are asking for it.
@@3cheaptrick He takes the record out of the sleeve for Rolling Stones No 2. and it says London which is wrong. No. 2. Was a UK album and is on Decca. Rolling Stones Now! Is the next one he looks at.
@@BigSky1 you're right. he pulls the record from the jacket. it seems a label misprint for me now. if you check the 'vinyl rewind' channel review of this boxset, you'll notice that N°2 has been pressed on blue vinyl (as this sde video shows) with decca label.
Nice video, thanks for continuing to post these. I'm conflicted about mixing the UK & US releases in one box, but I suppose if there are significant audio differences & the LPs are faithful to to the original releases it's alright. Compare to the Beatles handling of their US history - the vital The Capitol Albums boxes vs the useless The US Albums.
I have the albums so the CD Box set works for me I am still waiting for a Stereo Box set Abkco will not put it out even if Satifaction ' The Last Time ' Get Off My Cloud ' and 19th Nervous Breakdown are in true Stereo only Radio stations have these Stereo Tracks .
No it doesn't. Lots of the best quality reissues are on colour vinyl now. It makes no difference to the sound quality. Picture discs on the other hand, are often very poor quality.
@@Sean-me4fv yes, I know there's no difference now, but I still prefer black, is easy to spot any scratch or damage on the black ones, also everything looks uniform. Agree P. Discs are trash.

I see a misprint on Vol 2 LP you took out a London lable that says NOW ! that for sure is a collectors item .👍👍

@@JohnSmith-zl8rz That reminds me, I recently ordered the orange Thin Lizzy LP from VMP and it had a giant damn scratch on it.
But they did send me a new clean copy, without hesitation
