- The Valkyrjur (Meaning Valkyries in Old Norse) where female figures who choose who may die in battle and who may live. The Valkyries bring the chosen to the afterlife. One half of the chosen goes to Valhalla where the God Odin feasts with his warriors till Ragnarök and the other half goes to the Goddess Freya in Fólkvangr.

not to be weird,,, but the song Valkyrjur would almost bring me to tears listening and envisioning my wife at the time years ago, like she was ascending to the other side as a spirt guardian of sorts. I would play that song over and over and over for it overwhelmed me. Gave me a deep loving sensation towards my wife. I dont speak the language, nor understood the lyrics. Nor did I understand why my envision. But, somehow, I could feel his heart & emotion in the song that reached out, and somehow I knew then. Hard to explain, but I knew through his voice, song, and depth. She was of Scottish heritage of red hair & blue eyes. She was our momma bear, protector, nurturer,,, Now that she has passed away, this song has more reverence. I now understand one does not need to know the language to be spoken true in heart... She is now and will forever be our Valkyrjur, forever and always... 😢
That is what music is about. Words are violence, you know. Your feeling and envisioning are what decide.
And it hit the spot. In the last part it is about Valkyries who are ascending, riding up.
