Kelly GREAT INFO with Excellent information!!, You have a new fan indeed! OUR SITUATION - My wife and I live in the Northeast, and we are in our late 60's and thinking of buying a property that will suit our possible future "Live-In" help. We were looking at a 4000 sq ft home with an in-law apartment but after viewing your post I am now thinking of an off-site residence like a comfortable apartment above a garage for the domestic maybe a better option. My neighbor had a "live-in" from Thailand for 20 yrs and their situation worked for them very well. This is all new to us and must be researched further.

Great topic, Kelly. I just interviewed for a position that would have been on site. I had these concerns.

Hi, Kelly, I wanted to ask you. As a household manager, how do you manage breaks and lunch breaks for housekeepers, Nannie’s, drivers, housemen, etc? Can you provide examples of how you manage it

It's hard to say without knowing more about your staffing structure. Sorry.

Hi! What about if my domestic couple also do residential security? How does it work if I allow them to take some time off or go on a getaway?

Hire a second shift! Remember, it's WORK (even if they live on the property), and no one should be required to be on call 24/7/365!

@@EstateManagementSystems Thank you! I did consider that, I’ll have a look for a part time security guard for 12/14 hour shifts. I just want as least staff as possible due to privacy.

Yes, agreed. 100%. But please consider the lives of the people who work for you and their personal lives and privacy. Everyone deserves that. I suggest hiring contract security to work once a month (or whatever is appropriate) so you have maximum coverage and security. Best to you!

@@EstateManagementSystems Of course! I haven’t started the hiring process yet but I will definitely consider their privacy and lifestyle. I want it to be easy for all of us, so I’ll be asking them how they are used to doing things before anything. I plan to get them a car for duty and personal use too. Thank you for your advice, your channel is great🫶🏽
