    If you enjoy my teaching/presentation style I've started creating my own courses at seanallen.teachable.com. You can watch the first ~10% as a free preview to get a feel for them.

    Loved the 'no bullshit' approach, this days people make 20 minutes videos to explain simple stuff like that.

    I always check this channel first when I need help. Fast, easy and native solutions! Custom solutions can be nice for certain projects, but using the native bult-in Swift components will probably make the app easier to maintain in the future.

    The new Label View is perfect for TabItem, it allows you to avoid adding an Image & Text :-)

    • @seanallen
      @seanallen  3 года назад +3

      I haven't tried this to confirm, but yes... if that does work, it would be the cleaner way to write it. (in my opinion).

    I started to learn programming from 30. And already spent 1 year learning storyboard+UIKit(like network, animation, protocol, tableView/collectionView, operationQueue, and a lot else, now I decided to start learning SWIFT UI. I don't know if the past what I learned can help on development with SWIFT UI

    When SwiftUI was first released, the “more” functionality of tab view (where you have more tabs than will fit on screen) was littered with bugs. Did they fix that yet, do you know Sean?

  • @mehekpalrecha4262

    So I'm having an issue in my app. I have five tabs on the botton of my app, and when I click on a tab, it doesn't take me to the root view of that tab but the subviews i left off as when I was on that tab.
    I wouldn't have minded that, but when I login into user A and go deep into the views and click deep into the navigation links, and click logout all of a sudden and login into user B, if I click on the tab user A was on, it takes me to the subviews user A was last on as opposed to a fresh root view of that tab.
    Please help, Sean 🙏 I've looked deep into navigationStack and how clearing the path and setting it equal to an empty path will get to root view, but it's nothing has been working and I need some advice and guidance:-(

    Either SwiftUI has some weird bug with the tab view or something but every time I use tab view and I run in the simulator or on a physical device the tab bar by default always has a yellow background. It’s easily fixed by using UITabBar.appearance() to change the tab bars tent color, but it’s odd that I have to do that to fix it
