Hi Hounds, first of all congrats on doing the CW. Really looking forward to the videos when you get around to editing them. From the trailers I can see that your back pack had an additional item............AGAIN! Good to see that the wee girl is back safe and sound. I've got three dogs myself, a rescue dog called Roxanne Tinkerbell-Chutney shes a sort of JR type and an old girl at 13. My second is a Spaniel cross called Keifer-Slash he's 9 and obscessed with playing ball (I have taken him on days walks to the Lakes and Wales) and.................................my Welsh Collie - Augustus-Brian (Gussie) he's 7 and I got him off a work colleagues(before I retired) dads Welsh Hill Farm. All Collies are crazy and need alot of TLC. Just back after a trip to Applecross, but only managed a single day due to a injury sustained on the beach at Loch Kishorn. Just got my TR up on Scottish Hills, heres the link www.scottishhills.com/html/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=8 I'll watch the rest of your doggy vids, but unfortunately I think Scotland is too far for my dogs. Cheers for now Owd Jockey (aka Alan Palin)
Hi OwdJockey! Thanks! Yes, I had to carry her the last nine miles of the trip, so not too bad: just a wee shoulder sprain. Still enough to cause her to not be able to put much weight on it and limp. She recovered in two days with some rest and was back to normal. It sounds like you have quite the mix of colourful canine companions and names to match! I bet they are a great bunch! I had a look at your latest post there and laughed out loud when I seen the sole of the shoe picture and you saying that it put your predicament in perspective. Haha! Shame about the knee though because it is a bit of a jaunt to get there. Still though, it could have been worst so that is the main thing: hopefully you have recovered by now. I enjoy reading your posts; they are very well written, entertaining, informative and have some great pics in there! Hope you recover enough to get back on the trail soon! I'm on day 6 or 7 of editing the Cape Wrath Trail vids, so about half way through: hopefully I'll have the rest finished off soon so I can get back out myself!
lovely stuff john, i look forward to watching more of your videos!!
Thank you! 🐾👍
