SHAD/ELF FISHING! Strand Reefs

Hi guys & gals. In this video I take you along as I try to spin some SHAD/ELF on the reefs in the Strand. I heard a little birdie saying there was a few Shad/Elf around. Unfortunately I was a few days late but did manage a Shad/Elf and a HUGE Shad/Elf tried to eat the I caught.
Shad/Elf are notoriously aggressive eaters & often will eat almost anything they come across. When targeting Shad/Elf you will need some sort of steel trace, whether it's piano wire or carbon coated steel. Shad/Elf are normally a warmer water fish and has a bag limit of 4 (30cm or bigger) per person, per day.
Shad/Elf can be caught in a number of ways, from casting baits, spinning for them and even on fly. The preferred method here in Strand is spinning.
My tackle setup for spinning for Shad/Elf is as follows:
Okuma Recon Inshore 9ft
5000 Shimano Sahara
20lb Slick Boss Braid
An assortment of spoons, topwater or even paddle tails.
