Hi Paul, thanks man. The rods we use are from 12ft to 14ft rods, Loomis & Franklin or Okuma Euphoria with Shimano TLD 15/30 reels with Boss Braid 80lb. Dave uses the Okuma Euphoria 14ft grinder paired with a Okuma Azores 8000 grinder with 40lb braid

Hi Ian, we are lucky here in False Bay, that specific stretch of beach is still seen as a service road so we are allowed to use it.

Hi Paul, no fixed trace. The main reason why, if your sinker gets stuck the fish can still run and eventually burn you off. With a fixed trace, the fish can turn and either break the sinker off or pull the sinker out.

Hi Achmat, it was a few weeks ago.

A few weeks ago myself and I close friend joined Rean and another angler in Strand. About an hour later another local angler joined us. It was our first fishing trip in strand. While fishing Rean pointed on the anglers fishing on the reef to our right. We were fishing next to the tidal pool.
