What crazy thing did burnout cause you to do? For me, I turned into a mix between the main character of Office Space and Milton wanting to burn everything to the ground.
I recommend the Artist's Way for burnout, and you don't have to do it exactly like the book suggests. I don't do exactly three pages, and I do it on Google Docs instead of a journal. I think making these changes helped with perfectionism. I'm neurodivergent, I will never be perfect. Burnout just caused me to retreat and not share the weird but wonderful stories I was creating. Burnout stopped me from making art altogether.
so true. passion should be your driver, not money. keep creating content and your following will grow via people that gravitate towards that content. don't let your story become one that is entangled with the BS that you had to deal with. you have so much inside of you that is outside that realm and everything else is just noise distracting you from expressing yourself. i find it special how you and vincent can be jamming in a room at home and creating music. that part of the journey you are on has great value to others, share more of that. more vincent! but just as much of you still, you are wonderful.
I guess you're not allowed to give your co-workers a hot foot anymore :) The studios used to be full of the craziest guys...so many laughs, going to work was fun, cartoons were fun! Now it's all serious artist people doing serious and important cartoon jobs, and stabbing each other in the back to get ahead.

You are so so right about quitting not necessarily being the antidote to burnout...but it sure as all hell helps!
