great work man. i really wasnt ready for this. my older brother who i lost a few years back was a redbirds usher in high school. my parents used to sometimes let me go to work with him and give me money for a red seat ticket, but before the game he would let me come sit in the blue section he was working. he would buy me a watered down soda and some of those terrible nachos they had. back then it was just another way to kill some time for me and get out of the house, but now it feels like so much more.
I went to numerous St X-Trinity games there. And a bunch of Redbirds games. Was a vendor with SportsService in Summer of 1986. A box of Cracker Jacks or bag of peanuts was 75 cents each. Remember also when the wooden seats were replaced with plastic ones.
I went to many Redbirds games there. I have some memorabilia from there and a set of green seats. The fair board sucks for promising something great in its wake and just leaving a stain on the ground. Many good times at that stadium. I can still smell the beer, salt, and cigar smoke as the trains rolled by the old Winn Dixie warehouse.
Hi,my father took me to the Louisville colonels games when I was a kid and I took my son to the redbirds and Cardinals games. I have so many memories from that Stadium I was hoping you could put me in touch with someone who had seats from the Stadium who could sell me 2 seats from that awesome place. Thanks for that great post, it brought back memories and a few tears.
Hey Justin I just this video of yours honouring Cardinal Stadium, lots of memories and great video. I played Baseball at UofL from 2001-2004. This was my home stadium all 4 years. If you’d still happen to have a seat from the stadium that you’d be willing to part with I’d gratefully take it off your hands. Thanks
I didn’t remember anything about it but the one thing I remember was I saw blue yellow green and red stuff in a pile of scraps and my dad said that was around when I was a kid
Great job on the video! Spent a majority of my childhood here and have so many memories from that place! Happy to see you got a lot of good loot from it! One question..did you get any piece of the turf??
Thanks. The song is by Pipe Choir, I listed the info on it during the end credits. As far as the stadium seats go, I was able to get a decent amount of them.

Lee Stewart Thank you! Yes, I was able to obtain some sections of it.
Awesome. I have a man cave myself and this is big time. How many stadium seats did you end up getting? What's the name of the song in the middle?
