- The Guardians are on one last ride, but I believe it will actually be the end for a few of them. This is my ranking of the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 Death Predictions, and we will speculate as to which members will not make it. The members we are ranking include Star-Lord, Cosmo the Space Dog, Adam Warlock, Gamora, Kraglin, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Racoon, Nebula, and Groot

I'm going to be sad who dies in Guardian of the Galaxy vol 3 but I think that Rocket will die or Drax or Nebula or even all three. I'm gambling on those three.
I think if rocket died, it would complete his story ark of not being selfish since when he was introduced he was after credits, and the whole reason we have Adam warlock is because he wanted some batteries.

Rocket racoon is gonna die, cmoon it is soo obvious, we get to see his back story as well, they want us to root for him so the emotions can be more powerful...It is so obvious!

James Gunn, not killing any Guardian in the movie: I'm gonna destroy their whole career
Rocket Quill / Drax i think 2 will die but if 3 mantis might be dropped since she revealed to peter on the xmas special she is his sister
I was gonna go to sleep but hey, new Austin Burke video dropped, so I guess no sleep just yet. Anyway, Drax is 100% my biggest death prediction. I used to think Rocket is definitely dying but now that they’re pretty much marketing him as the character that dies… almost feel like they’re not gonna kill him lmao.
They could definitely swerve!!
Sadly Rocket, then prob Drax and Kraglin. Cannot wait!

I really think Starlord and Drax are the ones that die. Drax for all the reasons you pointed out and StarLord because I don’t know what else they could do with him. They settled his daddy issues and it seems like he fully understands that this isn’t his Gamora so I think that romance has also been settled. I don’t think you have all this rocket backstory just to kill him off. And it seems like you could get a voice actor is Cooper is done and keep rocket going forever.
Keep in mind that even if Starlord dies, they're still gonna need a leader to form the team regardless. And because that in the Comics Star Lord is the only member that lead the group, he's pretty much gonna be safe.

I think that Rocket is the most likely one to die, since almost all of the other Guardians (minus Nebula) were killed when Thanos wiped out half of the universe, so if Rocket saw that this could happen again, I think that he would try to prevent it by sacrificing himself.
No rocket he is about to die but when he goes to the other world his girlfriend brings him back and starlord almost dies frozen in space Adam Worlck saves him

I think my favorite Guardian will die, Drax. It just makes sense, and Rocket as well. Although I don't wanna see them go, it makes sense for the story.

I think Drax and Rocket are definitely dying and an unforeseen 3rd character is dying. They might be misleading us into believing Rocket is dying when it could be one or several of the others

Rocket doesn't have a long life span anyway so he sits high in the totem pole of death, but the colors of the title sugest drax is the one.
I think that in the likely event rocket dies, we will see a simerlar scene to groots sacrifice in the first movie but with the roles reversed, with rocket wiping the tear out of groots eye
This is just a wild idea, and highly highly doubt it happens, but what if James Gunn kills all the core guardians. I think we can all agree Drax and rocket are probably gonna die, but what if Gamora dies since her actor is done, and Star Lord could be the final gut punch, and groot could be a give or take on if he lives or dies. If this were to happen my guess is they might lose part of their team along the trip like mantis or kraglin, and in the final fight they realize they can't win and live.

First of all, I HOPE that at least someone dies…
Marvel have been playing things far too safe lately.
Ant-Man 3 was disappointing for me, mainly because of that reason (Ok, there are other reasons!)
When you kill a character off that the audience likes and has an instant connection with, it immediately ups the stakes and the emotional aspect of the story!
Ant-Man 3 apparently failed to understand that…
Anyway, here is my ranking of who is most likely to die:
1: Drax.
Mainly for the same reasons you said to be honest!
Dave Bautista has publicly and repeatedly said that this will be the last time he plays the character.
He has also grown tired of playing the role too, and wants to be remembered for playing more dramatic roles (I respect him for that)
Plus Drax has always wanted to die a hero and a warrior’s death, so it would make sense!
I also think that’s why James Gunn gave him and Mantis the opportunity to take centre stage in that Christmas Special…
Bautista has always wanted a spin-off for his character, but it’s never really got off the ground.
2: Rocket.
Everything I have read and seen so far about this film indicates that Rocket will die.
The film clearly revolves around him, and Gunn has said that this film concludes his character arc.
3: Kraglin.
I agree with you that I think it is possible that he dies during the first half of the film.
However I hope that he isn’t the only one…
Simply because as much as I like Kraglin, I think he is rather forgettable?
I have no emotional attachment to him so if he does die, it won’t really mean that much to me!
4: Mantis.
Very similar reasons to Drax to be honest?
Her and Drax were arguably the main characters in the Christmas Special, so that gives me the feeling that they may both die…
Both of these characters are loved by the fans, but they haven’t had the most amount of screen time in recent years, especially Mantis.
With the stakes clearly higher in this film, I don’t know what Mantis can bring to this final adventure because she is the least strongest character!
Therefore, I think it is possible that she dies during the first half of the film, and then her death motivates the team, and then Drax could sacrifice himself at the end…
5: Gamora.
I honestly don’t think she will die because she has already been killed off in a rather emotional way.
The reason why I place her this high is because Zoe Saldana has said that this will be the last time she plays the character…
But at the same time, she has also said that she hopes that the character is recast in future films?
6: Nebula.
I can see why you think it is very possible that she dies, but I’m mainly going by what Karen Gillan has publicly said…
She has said that she hopes to continue playing the character in the future.
Enough said really I think!
7: Star-Lord.
I really don’t see Marvel killing off their lead actor…
I think it would be more satisfying for him to have a happily ever after type ending with Gamora.
8: Adam Warlock.
To be honest, I wasn’t even going to include him on my list…
This is the character’s first appearance in the MCU, and I know many fans have been wanting to see him on the big screen for years, so I really doubt that Gunn will kill him off so soon!
9: Groot.
He has already been killed off twice so I doubt that Gunn will do it again…
Plus he has the ability to grow back and be reborn, so can he actually die?
Groot is obviously a fan favourite but he isn’t the most compelling character in the franchise.
From going by the trailers, it looks like Rocket will die, then this will motivate the team, and Groot will go in full revenge mode!
10: Cosmo.
Come on, this is Disney, they will never kill off a dog!
I think James Gunn would if he was given the chance, but I don’t think Disney would allow that to happen…

What if...not to be "too obvious" - Star-Lord *and* Gamora will bite the dust?! The rest of the remaining will splinter off towards the 'unknown?'😅Methinks, this is an "excuse" for all fans to "weep" for the duo after all the good fights?🤔😊
I don't think either Drax or Rocket will die because if Drax dieing Batista want be saying that this his last movie as Drax and I think Gunn will give a happy ending after all he has being through. So I don't he will die either.
