If it’s Acrylic and the recommended hook on the label is a 3mm , then, that would work. Acrylic just gives the right amount of stretch that this pattern needs - hope this helps🌸

How’s do you stop from twisting on first round.?
You must make sure that when you join the chain, the st’s are not twisted at that stage
Can I use Alize diva yarn weight 1 for this too?
