Bernard Julien was undone by timing! Unfortunately for him, within a year of joining the West Indies team,he was overshadowed by the emergence of Andy Roberts who,in turn, was overshadowed, a year later,by the arrival of Michael Holding and Wayne Daniel. For the likes of Andy Roberts to be put in the shade by any bowler is just crazy, which means Julien simply did not stand a chance. The one thing he can be proud of ,though,is that he was a World Cup winner(the very first World Cup) and,if only for a little while, part of the greatest Test team cricket has ever seen.
@@davifdavid4347 Absolutely true, agreed unconditionally, but in any way, however,Julien was not at all really honoured and evaluated as well,as he should truly and appropriately be,then,at his time, exclusively in his own era.His art of batting was indeed a classical marvel, his razor-sharp medium pace deliveries were simply splendid in necessity and at the need of the hour as well. For a young and ardent learner,vis-a-vis,particularly for a budding student of cricket, even today, old videos on Julien's eternal classics are as synonymous as the most indispensable and genuinely essential text cum grammar books on the art of cricket.Should the greats like Lawrence Rowe,Wayne Daniel and Berdnerd Julien be forever remembered as the worst victims of misfortune and ill luck in the Carribbean cricket history?
Julien was unfortunate indeed,he was extremely talented, cricketers far far away off Julien's calibre played for the WI for years,'luck factor' is that intrinsic matter which is said to be the key element for a person's true success and real achievement,a gentle touch of sheer luck and pure fortune,is vehemently required however, irrespective of a person's every sincere hardwork, dedication, effort and sacrifice,thanks......

Brilliant fieldman anywhere in the field
Was a very good allround cricket
He is great in my opinion
Like the great Lancelot Richard Gibbs, the Big Cat had no use for him.Pace, pace, and more pace were his intentions.
He is still alive

It is pronounced To bay go. It is annoying when people and places names are butchered.
Please like and subscribe and share what? Learn to pronounce properly before you come out making videos, case closed end of story!!
