Well here is a good one . (Recipe) 1. Get a cup of water 2. Get a red marker and get out all of the ink u can 3.stir it with the marker 4. Add flour and stir 5. Put in fridge for 3 minutes 6. Ur done:-)
Thanks for sharing hun!! But I'm not overly sure using ink is completely safe :S Plus there's the issue of it possibly staining your skin hehe... Then again food dye stains the skin too... I may give it a try to see ;)

i made my own blood for a zombie walk and i was SOOO STICKY, pretty unpleasant feeling. Does your version of fake blood do that too?
Last year for zombie walk, I made mine too, with corn syrup, chocolate syrup and food coloring. I'm not sure what you used, but I think you're best bet with blood would be the gelatin blood
That's ok hun! I'm glad I could help! :D You can keep the blood for quite a while, the longest i've kept it for is about 3 months but obvs you have to re-stir it to mix it all up again when you go to use it and it goes without saying that it I wouldn't recommend using it as an eatable blood after a couple weeks hehe. I freeze my blood when i'm not using it too :)

I sometimes freeze it :) It doesn't really go off as such, I wouldn't use it in the mouth if it's more than a few months old, but it'd still be usable everywhere else :) Best to keep it refrigerated xXx

For a zombie costume, I once used petroleum jelly with a little corn syrup, red and green and blue dye, flour and old coffee grinds. Once applied, it looked like a nasty, crusty old scab. I was washing it out of my hair for three days, but it looked fantastic! Works great for scabs and zombie wounds.

I made the gelatin one on Halloween this year. Was SO good. Thanks so much for uploading this video. It took literally minutes to make and worked so well. It didnt itch or catch on my clothes too much or anything as it set really well!
My advice though:
1st time I made it though I put too much black in. I literally only needed 2 drops so I recommend pouring it into the lid first as I didn't have as steady hands as this guy does! Alternatively using green darkens red up nicely too.

Thank you so much! :D Yeah that's the only downside to fake blood, it does have a tendency to stain the skin slightly sometimes :( Unless you apply some barrier cream/petroleum jelly to the area first perhaps to make a barrier? :) Gelatin blood doesn't seem to stain at least :D xXx

This is the best homemade fake blood tutorial I have seen and I have watched I couldn't tell you how many videos the last week, for some reason I am allergic to premade/store bought/halloween/stage/ blood or whatever you want to call it. I am making a bunch of the coagulated blood as well as the gelatin blood for a photo shoot this weekend. I know the gelatin blood has to be made on set but what about the coagulated blood? Could I make that in advance and still have it keep?
Absolutely! You could easily freeze it, and by the time you need it, it would thaw :) I know this is too late for your shoot (super sorry!) but hopefully other peeps can benefit from this answer! :D

You can eat all three :D Just don't add the coffee or else it'll be icky hehe. And it wont stain your window but it might stain the window seal/pane so just be careful, remember it is a lot of food colouring in it xXx

I get my Sorbitol from Amazon.co.uk :) I generally mix the other way around to be honest, I always add equal amount of Sorbitol and Glycerine and add around half that of the gelatin. I always use flocking in my prosthetics if they are to look natural :) xXx

I really liked the gelatin blood. I used it very recently for a cosplay as ash from evil dead and it just looked best for the old demon blood look on my clothes and face. This was really helpful thanks!! :3

for a blood that will dry and still look wet and fresh I use a clear water based glue (school glue, like kids use in school) and food colorings. Liquid watercolor paint works well for coloring also. Crimson red lake is the best red to start with. This blood is not edible, of course but you can use it on your clothes and stuff and it won't smear and get all over everything.

For the thick coagulated blood regular all-purpose flour works fine too, i tried it :)

i have a really eazy one..jus two or three tea spoons of corn flower' woter (depends on the finkness and amount of blood your using) hit it up i the microwave and ade the food coloring you usualy use..
