As weird as it is to think about, if Nintendo had not reskinned a completely unrelated game with Mario sprites, then: Shy Guys, Sniffets, Ninjis, Birdo, Phantos, and Peach's hover might never have existed in the Mario universe.

Actually SMB2 USA started out as a Mario 2 prototype that tested vertical scrolling before it was turned into doki doki panic and when it was shelved in favor of SMB lost levels AKA SMB1.5 and in the prototype those enemies were there before the DDP chacaters took over. So technically it isn’t a reskin, we pretty much got the game it was intended to be and it’s also the real Super Mario Bros. 2
@@jakighcolburnchannel3584 interesting. I didn't know that. I noticed that the first sequels in a lot of NES franchises went in a oddly different direction from the first games. Castelvania II: Simon's Quest, SMB2, Zelda II: Link's Adventure, and Metroid II come to mind.
May not got Super Mario Bros. 3 the way we got it neither.. Super Mario Bros. 2 U.S. is a very important game that pushed things forward..

This theme is my childhood. I remember playing Super Mario Advance on my GBA nonstop. In fact, now that I finally get some free time, I'm going to play it. Thanks for the nostalgia. I will make my own version too!

I can’t get over how amazing these covers sound. The versions on this channel have successfully become updates in my head. The video games in my memories are the same but now I hear them more often in this beautiful real instrument rendition.

This music was made for the banjo, also, I liked alot the bass part (it was another instrument, but I am a lowly peasant that don't know its name)
that's the U-bass, right? the bass ukulele. He did a video about it! I didn't know what that was either, I've never seen such thick strings.
The bike bell really adds to it, as an American at a baseball pitch would say you really "hit a dinger" with that one. Literally!

I've never seen a banjo like that before with the top string going all the way to the headstock is there a particular name for it?
it's a Tenor banjo with an added low C string. so it's tuned in CGDAE :) I got it custom made for this channel but I don't think it has a name really
