I had a Nokia 3410 (the successor to the 3310/3330) and played this on loop until I discpvered it was a Bach piece. Thanks, you just unlocked a memory from my early teens!

Not really, I think it's just the effect of how the beeper speaker was manufactured and it resonated with stuff and created more complex waveforms. I think internally, it's just generating a square wave :) Not a professional in this topic so I could be wrong, though :)
