Mam please try some brass utensils (tin coated) as the food cooked in these utensils is very nutritious and healthy. In terms of steal the food cooked in brass (tin coated) is more healthy and nutritious.

@@annemoses8045 Actually it's not harmful the food should be immediately removed after cooking and as for the tin coating it is an age old Indian practice to coat brass and copper vessels with tin as the food doesn't gets spoiled (by various chemical reactions) while cooking in a brass or copper. Ayurveda suggests silver , brass and iron(including cast iron) for cooking in which brass has to be used only used when coated with tin for cooking curries and sauted vegetables as tomato, lime,tamarind etc which are sour and acidic in nature and can get spoiled by chemical reactions between the brass and acids present in the food. That's why tin coating is needed as per the leaching of tin in food, even some amount of tin is required to human body.

Earthen pots are not advisable to cook food in the time period of chatur masa which stretches from July to November (Monsoon season) as the Earthen pot gets fungus attack on it during monsoon season and may spoil the food cooked in it . At last brass utensils which are coated with tin only deplete 2-2.5 percent of nutrients in the food cooked in it and also provide additional minerals to the food cooked in it , and also can be used throughout the year.
