Hikano Shibuno was just brilliant throughout the whole tournament and brought new life to the often sour faced professional women’s golf. The final round was a birdie fest as 4 golfers swapped positions through the final holes. Well done to Jin Young Ko for a magnificent attempt to win a 3rd major in one season and to Ashleigh Buhai for her best ever major finish. Salas also had a great final round, but picked the wrong line for her final missed putt. Kudos to Ashleigh for her genuine celebration of Hikano’s winning putt, but very disappointed with Salas for her poor behaviour rushing off giving no interviews and not congratulating the winner. I understand that she was disappointed, but bad form nonetheless and the total opposite to the camaraderie established by the deserved winner.

Was a joy to watch her win. Sensed Salas was going to miss that putt. Couple years back she had a similar putt length for a birdie that would have put it away for her second win but she missed it ended up in a playoff and lost.Could almost see her shaking, tough loss, hope she gets over it but major chances are fleeting for 30 year olds on the lpga.

Why does the LPGA have so many women from South Korea/Japan? I think the issue with why the LPGA isn't as big (at least in America) is due to the lack of female American superstars. I know there are American players but none of them are consistent.
