Twelve years ago I and my daughter were travel to Korea and bought CD songs "The painter of wind" I was very happy to got CD. Now twelve year past, I recommend my daughter see this series and told my daughter sing a song 눈 길 (Line of Sight / Painter of the Wind - Thai Lyrics). My daughter translate this song from english to thai. My daughter sang this song and wrote this. " if love blinds me, I hope you'd still have me in your line of sight So the last week or so, I reintroduce myself to the K-drama "Painter of the Wind" through my mom. The drama is about the court painter Shin Yun-bok or Hyewon, a female disguised as a male to enters the palace as a royal painter and discovers the truth behind her father's death. Along the way, she faces hardships and heartache. This song is about one of the heartaches Shin Yun-bok has to face with the relationship she had with Jung-hyang, a courtesan who is skilled in zither. Their love is bound to fail inevitably due to Shin Yun-bok's real identity. This song describes the relationship they have. Painter of the Wind is super fun to watch! I recommend! I agree with you, especially when they haven' t got any evidence on what have happened in reality. It' s just how they imaginated the story....it' s a shame they didn't understand the real love story here...But still, they won the Best Couple in 2008 so I am happy for that :D

@yukino24able JH was sold to a rich merchand as a concubine. After YB was being expelled from Dohwaseo (kind of artist school) he worked at the merchand’s house as his private painter. Later YB found that this merchand was responsible for his parent death and going to take revenge. But the merchand came to know about the relationship between YB and JH. YB provoked the merchand with his paint which show he doesn’t afraid for protecting JH from the merchand and the fact about his true identity.

If by any chance the merchand was to discover the loop hole. What is the actual reason drawing that kind of painting. Ha... guess the author of either the novel or the script can deviate too much from history... of the actual painter being portrayed by Moon Geun Young.... Who is actually a guy. I'll give them credits for the fantasy they try to fill in in-between and give us (defintely not past-tense), this beautiful fantasy.
