One of my favourite channels now, great quality, clear explanations but great to watch a down to earth bloke working.

I started work in a high tech colour matching company for the textile industry who designed their own spectrophotometer back in 1981 when this tech was in its infancy they were about half the size of a washing machine and weight the same lol . I used to have to test them by running coloured tiles through them of varying colours depending on what you were trying to match …thank the lord for modern technology things have come a very very long way ..great vid 👍

Great video, I also have the Mipa Specto. Sometimes I find going for a worse match and then use the magic stick and it brings up a better match

Many thanks, yeah I've found that going for a worse one will recalculate better, i now go to the standard chip first then see what way it needs to go and then spectro it to see what that says

Hello matey its been a while! You made me smile when you folded the soft edge over your leg what a legend! Your the only one iv seen using this technique on utube .why don't you do a sprayout card when you're painting the car for future reference would save time next time or is that to old school these days 🤔 🇬🇧👍

Hello, do we know each other, its a dying art the old soft edge down the leg technique 😂
i do do spray outs on some jobs if they are a problem colour but now with the spectro i save the formula and the all info on the system so i can go back to it and i spectro every job now to the adjacent as some stuff may have paint and there's variations from factory 👍
