Makes you realise that a lot of people don’t follow bicycle laws on the road. You my friend are an excellent role model of how you are supposed to ride.
Thanks for the kind words. My philosophy is if the government has invested in the infrastructure it should be used properly. If others choose not to and take risks, then that's up to them, but they only need to get it wrong once...
I'm going to relocate to London for work just before this year and planning to get my gf and myself Bromptons. I have to say that I like the way you ride. You are a safe defensive driver. Your videos show how to safely cycle in London. Nice!
Just got my Brompton, fell off first go because didn't unfold pedal so pushed myself over, so now building confidence on quiet paths. I was impressed with your performance in London, so have something to aim for.
Oh no! Hope you didn’t injure yourself. It’s very easy to get the hang of after a couple of rides. The main thing I had to get used to was slightly more ‘twitchy’ steering than I was used to due to the smaller wheels. Enjoy your Brompton :)
Interesting ride. I worked in London for 17 years, but only cycled in twice. I love seeing you pass the places I knew, even including the building on the right at 11:13 where I had an accident and could of killed myself! Keep riding, Keep videoing.
Nice safe ride.Is it possible for an OAP to gently ride these routes or would riding slowly be dangerous.I have not ventured on main roads at the moment. What do you thing. Thanks for posting.Jim
I'm a cyclist, motorcyclist and driver. I have to say not all cyclists are bad same as motorcyclists or drivers. But we do have in general (all groups) lunatics on London streets lol.
I don't think I did. Even though it's a 6 gear Brompton, I tend to just stick in one down from top gear which I find works well around London unless wanting to maximise downhill progress or I'm running late! ;)
Numerous examples of dangerous practices by cyclists, most notably shooting red lights, dangerously close overtaking etc (not on your part). It's hardly surprising we cyclists are so often vilified. I've experienced some lunatic behaviour here in Blackpool along the Promenade during the current crisis, old geezers fully lycra clad on high end carbon bikes, flying through family groups with young children. If this pandemic has highlighted one thing, it's what a nation of c***s we live amongst, I'll be happy for eternal lockdown not to have to deal with any of them, and ride Moultons and Bromptons in peace and safety.
I see so many cyclists pedal straight through junctions when the lights are red, it always makes me cringe and wonder why they take such a stupid risk.
It always amazes me that cyclists, well some of them think it's quite acceptable to go through red lights as though the highway code doesn't apply to them. They then wonder why they get knocked off their bikes. Sheer stupidity.
Thank you. An excellent example of how to ride safely and progressively. A true ambassador for cycling.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the video.

Thanks. I never quite understand why so many cyclists take the risks they do. It only takes one misjudgement and that's it.

Excellent rider and a true friend to all users of the road.
Thanks for the kind words.
Proper rapid bike. Nice light discipline.
Thanks very much 🙂
Wow you got a dry day 😀. Great video thanks Steve
A rare event over the last few weeks! :) I'm glad you liked it.
Alfred Hitchcok @11:30
nice relaxing ride
It sure was. I tend to take it easy when heading around town for work so I don't end up a sweaty mess at my destination :)

You're very considerate obeying all the traffic lights unlike most of the cyclists in this video.
👍🏽
Nice ride in London City..
What is the temperature during filming this video..?
I'm not sure to be honest. I think it was around 20C
What do you do when it rains?

Weird seeing Bank so quiet. This video is like a Covid time capsule
Are you in a hurry for some reason?
I felt like I was riding!!!Did you change gears at all?
I don't think I did. Even though it's a 6 gear Brompton, I tend to just stick in one down from top gear which I find works well around London unless wanting to maximise downhill progress or I'm running late! ;)

There are a lot of dangerous cyclists in London unfortunately. Just a shame we all get tarred with the same brush.
The most dangerous thing in this video is car drivers overtaking cyclists much too close.
