One of my top 10 favourite films. I absolutely love your style. It has a feel of the theatre, the way the actors position themselves. I'd love to own this and The Book of Life on Bluray.
THANKS SO MUCH for posting a HD version of the trailer, and an updated trailer at that. For years I've had to share a potato resolution version of this trailer with friends to convince them to watch it. Fun fact: I was an English teacher in Japan when Henry Fool debuted there. I convinced a dozen of my students to trek to the one arts cinema in Tokyo playing it. I almost regretted it as explaining the subtle foibles of our society is hard enough, and your films seem to be built upon foibles.
I have loved the progression of these films for over 20+ years. The tragedy/Comedy, the comedy/Tragedy, and the straight, plainer, story telling which is presented as a matter of legend or disappointment to the audience is the, if not massively misunderstood, relative point of humanistic exploration of these films. I do quote lines from these films with friends as "code" relative to difficult discussions. And, while I want as many people to see this trilogy as possible for the perspective, it should be said that some people may be triggered by the subject matter -throughout the films. With that said, I recommend these films often -for the writing, the direction in the films, and the raw (and amazing) acting. I do have friends that HATE these films as well. So, mileage may very. ...My point is... If you feel you are going to be triggered about this film just stop and know that is ok.
That movie was pure art house bs. It's practically unwatchable, it's so f-cking bad. Of course the French love it. They love any movie that pretends to be thought provoking. In this case it's just bizarre and boring.

Most people don't like movies that are honest and shows frank depictions of humanity, they want Disneyfied schlock
Wow didn't know this was a trilogy, only saw Henry Fool
What are the other films called?
One to watch. Looks edgy. I'm thinking....Dogville or Man Who Wasn't There. Held in suspense but a good find Im sure.
