Ty for adding this and taking the time to upload. I've been looking at these pieces of software and have already been burned on a delphi ecu diagnostic tool and a Tectronix diagnostic tool. I have almost no faith in chinese products and the good american stuff is straight graft and corruption.
You're welcome brother and I understand about spending hard money on stuff that doesn't work that's why I'm trying to help others because it's frustrating on time consuming when stuff doesn't work LOL 👌🍻😜
I was considering getting this for my 2013 Altima. Think you could go through some of the other diagnostic functions to see if they work or are similar to CONSULT? Maybe HVAC or other engine diagnostics? Thanks for the review!
I just got this adapter and software to work in a 2018 nissan sentra with air bag problems. The software in my opinion is a bad product, it crashes every time i tried to read the codes out of the SRS module. You have to have internet or the software won't work. It doesn't have any programming capabilities for any of the modules.
I'm absolutely not talking trash here but can Nissan detect that this software has been used and decide to null and void your warranty on the spot? I suppose this is more of a question of law... I remember not so long ago some court cases involving the "right to repair" and the void warranty stickers. I'm not sure how that all shook out. I'm pretty pessimistic though that any corporation or the politicians they buy would ever do anything to prevent future I'll gotten gains. I get so tired of this crap. I refuse to buy a new vehicle for a number of reasons but this is a huge one. I have a 97 ram 3500 I have been slowly refurbishing. The paint looks like crap but mechanically it's tip top. Currently I live in a state where emissions are not an issue but it's only a matter of time before some legislation tries to force me into some new, expensive piece of s#$t. It's all part of a collaborative effort to squeeze every nickel and dime out of working class consumers and keep people impoverished by perpetual debt. Thanks for posting though, was looking for options on my brother's Infiniti Q50 that recently had transmission issues. Guess they got him over the barrel still with the replacement TCM module programming.
@@TheBuddyCassius definitely not true because if you update the files is still using OEM calibrations through Nissan so that being stated no not true!! 🤷♂️😜
@@SMOKEY-JAYS-DIESEL i probably got a bad.. it cleared all my keys and when to program a new key it said protocol error 7 never got it to work.. and the technicians for the product never reply.. had to pay a key fob mobile to come to the house to program the key he used a xtool pad 2 which program one key and not the other but had a Autel 608 as back up

Hey im getting ready to do the same thing on my 2017 maxima was wondering if you ever figured out how to reprogram the tcm to the trans
Sorry no I don't use this software anymore
I think first save the data files from the old TCM and then copy them onto a new one. It is supposed to work. Thanks.
Hey man! did you ever find anything good that works with consult 3 plus besides the Vi2? Thanks!
Unfortunately no, I haven't used this software in quite some time. Sorry man I would almost bet the GM MDI module will do it
@@SMOKEY-JAYS-DIESEL Thanks for the reply! I'll look into it!

Did you get it to reset the SRS module?
@@LuisC202 after several tries it did read the codes one time. But i could never erase the codes because the software will crash.
@@LuisC202 I got the software to read the codes, the software is only for diagnostics and some programming (limited programming).
Have you tried using the device with original Nissan software Consult III+?
Yes I have unfortunately it will not work with it
