You said it would Tuesday before you seen the Dr. I hope he was able to give good news on Recovery. Still sending prayers your way. Time is what us needed.
Oh Julie, sorry to hear of your troubles after surgery. I hope with time your hip will heal. I admire your acceptance of the situation. The quilt is beautiful. It’s freezing here in the states!
Julie, with regards getting your bins out,...ring the garbage collectors (Cleanaway?) and ask for a form to be posted to you for your Dr.to sign requesting the "garbage boys" pick up your bins from inside your premises.....I have similar health issues as you, and they do it for me. Love your EPP quilt...take good care of yourself......((hugs))
Thank you Elizabeth for that suggestion. I didn't know they could do that but I will keep it in mind. I wont need to put any bins out this coming weekend and should be fine to get them out by the following one as my ability to move is getting better every day. Incidentally.....I went to bring my bin in yesterday and a neighbour came out and did it for me which was very nice.
My Dr's had me taking b12 vitamins for nerve damage. I hyperextended my wrists and hands. God Bless You. I absolutely love that quilt, you do gorgeous work.
I got one hip done about 4 years ago , and I'm sure I'm going to have the left hip done some day soon . I had a epidural with my knock out stuff . They had to catherdize me because didn't urinate for 24 hrs , They said it was knumb still . Still bothers me occasionally. Wow congrates on getting so far on ure quilt , so pretty love the pink and white . I have 4 projects going at same time and every month I rotate them . Here's hoping you will be feeling better soon and be able to walk better sooner . Take care of your yourself .
Hello, so sorry to hear about your surgery, hopefully it heals well. The diamond quilt is beautiful. We have had some snow but still not enough I think unless we get more we will have a drought this summer. Take care Happy crafting Patty
Hi Julie, raining here in San Diego, Ca USA!! So sorry you’re having issues with your hip surgery and results. Hoping you feel better real soon. I’m just starting a quilt like yours. I love your work! Beautiful! How many full flowers will I need to make to make the size you’ve made?? I love the pink too! Take care of yourself Julie!❤
Hi Virginia. Thank you very much for the comment and good luck with your quilt. Unfortunately I have no idea how many full flowers it will take to make a quilt as I have never made one that was just flowers. This one has roughly 50 diamonds made with half inch hexagons. This quilt has about 4,300 hexagons in total.
Julie, I'm so sorry to hear you were in pain. Sending you thoughts of healing. My mother has had both hips replaced and both knees. For her using vibration helped to restore feeling after nerve damage.im hoping you will have improvement with time! Feel better soon!
Thank you for the update. I'm sorry to hear of your setback. You are in good spirits for what happened.it sounds like this hip might have been worse than your other one. Time sounds like what you need, and I am sending prayers to help heal you. Thank you so much for being able to share with us your surgery. It was a major one, and it's done. I hope pain starts to leave you and the numbness goes away. And you get stronger on that side.
Hey Julie, ive been following your sugeries. I need hip replacement. They postponed it due to a hernia i need repared first. I have rwo surgerons to choose from. Both do it totally different. One says do posterior due to less xhance of breaking the bone. Other one says anterior wuth live xray. Which one did you have? I sure hope this is just temporary. Praying for you a speedy recovery. 🙏
I actually don't know what I had but going from hearing the joint being hammered into place I am guessing it was anterior but I am just guessing. The same surgeon did both of mine so I am guessing the same method was used both times.

I had an epidural for my knee years ago but just a spinal for my first hip and then a spinal and blocker for this one. I am sure it will heal in time.
Hoping that when you post the pinned quilt in two weeks, you will also be able to report that your nerve issue has resolved! The quilt is lovely.
I certainly hope that will be the case. Thanks for the quilt compliment.

I haven't heard about vibration as a form of therapy. Thanks for the information and I will look into it if it doesn't come good soon.

@@juliethornton did they go through the side or front?
He went through the side on both ocassions.
@@juliethornton that's considered posterior.
That sounds right as the scar goes around to my backside
