Season 5 Osferth death made me cry
This is the most special squad ive seen in tv shows
It’s just rare and special to see a friendship like this in a serious historical drama tv series. They’re basically a group of mates that you’d see in a pub in real life today. That’s the dynamic I see with them 😂
When Finan said '...PULL" to the Slaver as he's pulling the sword out of his throat, you were right there with him in his emotions. Mark Rowley is a fantastic actor. They all are.

Halig yes. Clappa is the big man? Eh don't really miss him. Mainly will miss Beocca and Leofric
Very beautifully made and with a lot of Sihtric-scenes. I want this character to get more protagonism. If anyone of these guys dies in the next season I am going to get very angry.
Finan, Sihtric, and Osferth stay with Uhtred until the end of the series. Unless the show wildly departs from the source material, I doubt they'll die.

they won't, the show is based on a book series
I fear that they let Sihtric die because of the sentence his character was posted with on facebook "we mourn those who have died". Besides I heard that the actor got a new role in the show "the wheel of time", so probably he won't be there to film the TLK movie and they let him die in the last season instead. Very sad because he is my favourite character and the actor is great.

"It is why these men love you" brought tears to my eyes. God how I love this character/actor. If I lived during his time I too would follow him. There never was another of his kind. How so many were jealous of him causing hate because he almost always won the battle. Got the girl. Knew what was right. Lord Uhtred is my favorite. I would choose to be a Warrior even though im female.

Whose here after osferth death? It’s honestly the saddest death in the series in my eyes.
That and father Beocca were the hardest for me.

A lot less of Brida, Aelswith and the Wessex snorefest.
I agreed with "a lot more with these guys". But I don't think that's a reason to underestimate Aelswith and Brida, who are very interesting characters.
@@oscarveron1386 I cant agree the fact to underestimate them both but for Aelswith, she's already dead...
Aelswith was truly unbearable in the first 3 seasons no doubt but dam did she really step up in S#4. Recognizing her own self-inflicted mistakes & costly arrogance, acknowledging her sins whenever another character like Father Pyrlig called her out on her past misdeeds, trying hard to redeem herself and even trying to make peace with Uthred himself. Aelswith was a surprising revelation in S#4, hope she survives being poisoned by that vile scumbag Aethelhelm in S#5 because I want to see more of that new & improved Aelswith.
As for Brida, thankfully her days are most definitely numbered come S#5😉
@@roachanderson1551 You don't know if Aelswith is already dead. S#4 ended with her fighting for her life after being poisoned by Aethelhelm, her fate left totally up in the air. We won't know for sure if she lives or dies until S#5 finally arrives.

love Sihtric's journey and his loyality to Uhtred, but wasn't keen on his hair in season 4, back to how it was please :)
I just hope they don’t end up bald at some point, their hairstyles are getting more extreme 😅

One thing to say, Thank You for making this video !!! Sihtric And Finan are my number one favorite characters and then Uhtred and Osferth. This is literally the perfect video !!! I love it, This group is for sure the best thing in this show to me. I can't never get tired of these guys they are such great characters, I just love how they don't care who believes in what, who's saxons or who's dane or whatever, they are always loyal to each other and the greatest of friends, I love them . I could say much more but then my comment would be way to long XD.
Amazing video I hope you make some more videos about them, as I said they are such an amazing group they deserve it, or perhaps one showing everyone who fought alongside Uhtred throughout the series (Leofric, Clapa...).

You’re right! It’s a nice atmosphere between the actors and reflects in the friendships of the characters. Shame there aren’t more vids out there of their group.

Just keep making TLK videos because I literally rewatch them all the time; mostly everyday I'm kinda obsessed. I'm watching over Season 4 for the second time and then restarting again. It's just a great vibe and not lying when I'm sad it makes me happy.

I've been putting off watching this series for *years* (LOVED the books; terrified that they would be butchered like GoT), and even the boredom of the first 2 lockdowns couldn't change my mind, but damn youtubes algorithm, it knows me all too well 😡
Watched just 1 video, and had to check it out, and *gods* am I glad that I did.
The writers, producers, cast and crew have done something incredible here. They've taken a MUCH-loved book series, with a massive following, and made an adaptation that not just does the books justice, but exceeds all expectations.
No-one could reasonably expect an adaptation to be 100% faithful (translating every single single word to screen-time would be unworkable, the story would drag, important decisions would require too many episodes to show the thought process etc), but they have found a easy way to make it work almost seamlessly. Bravo.
The past 4 days of binge watching have been worth every second spent on it 😂
When can we have the next season??

I love Cornwells work, but the Saxon Stories has always been my favourite series. And the cast and crew have done an INCREDIBLE job with the adaptation! So glad there's still plenty of material to work with, I'm looking forward to many more seasons 😁
@@elainec6687 Judging by how they’ve converted the books into doing 2 books each season. I’m guessing there is 2 more seasons left. But then they may dedicate another (perhaps shorter) season to the final 13th book. It’ll be interesting how they tackle that last book and Uhtred’s ageing 😂
@@RMFilmStudios That's what I think is most likely to happen too, I reckon 3 more seasons is what we're likely to get, but I'm pretty happy with that 😁
It's funny you mention the aging. I'd been thinking about exactly that over the past few days, and came across an old interview with Alexander and Bernard, where A mentions that he has a rough guide himself of what age Uhtred would be in each season, and he seems to take that into account with how he portrays him, but looks-wise, I'm confident that they can make him look older and have it be believable.
Eliza is 26 playing a woman around 50, and she pulls it off pretty well.
I'm honestly not gonna be too particular about it, as long as the storytelling is this good 😁
Oh please Lord let them always be together, it would kill me to not see Uhtred with Finan Sihtric and the baby monk

He’s gonna be old when he gets it now 😭 I have a feeling when Aethelstan becomes king, like in history he’ll unify the kingdoms to make England. So we’ll have to wait until Uhtred raises him and he repays Uhtred with all he’s done to his family. I always thought the last kingdom meant Wessex because it’s the last strong one resisting the Danes, but i think now it’s because Northumbria is the last to claim/unify.
I love the scene after Uthred gives up the throne of Wessex..and they're all sitting there depressed 😂
This series could be about just this band, and this just the trailer, and I'd watch it before any other Netflix series

Wow!! Another great video. I confess, this one hit me hard and I cried a little. I have so much love and affection for these characters. Although I'm looking forward to season 5, I fear not all of these men will survive. I have my predictions but won't share them right now, other than a tragic loss will likely happen in episode 1 or 2. 😢
