Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. My friend Sandra was Susan's personal assistant maybe 1980? She invited me to stay the weekend at The Sands Hotel where Susan was performing. Once I got to her hotel room she said, "hey come meet Susan and Dudley." Sandy's room was part of a suite. We walked through the living room and into Susan and Dudley's bedroom where the both of them were lying reading papers, etc. Imagine my surprise! I felt like I really invaded their privacy, but they were very gracious and lovely. Later on my friend Sandy and Susan went to the showroom to get ready for the show. That left me and Dudley in the suite. While I was getting ready to go to the show, Dudley played the piano. He played beautifully. I told him my father also played so it was nice to hear. We walked together to the show. I am five feet tall, and he was only a hair taller than me. He limped as he had something wrong with one of his feet; something from birth. But I thought he was so nice, so cute. While we were sitting there waiting for the show to start, he cracked some jokes that absolutely slayed me. What a lovely man he was. I was so sorry to hear when he died.

Susan met Dud in 1980, just after she'd split from Stallone, this was 83 or late 82 going also on how old she said she was. Dudley was blessed to have Susan in his life for those 8 years, lovely lady outside & in, just lovely.

Years ago, while in the lobby of a swanky Houston Hotel, our Doctors Big Band Orchestra, "The Jazz Medics", was taking a break at a gig there, when Susan Anton entered with her entourage of short men all carrying her baggage and attache cases following her to the nearby elevator. I, Chazz Neilson (all 5 foot 8 inches tall), the cocky lead trumpet player, stood there with all the other musicians watching her walk just past us. They all said, "Who is that tall gal?" and I said, "Susan Anton. You know, that beautiful singer/actress that used to be Dudley Moore's girlfriend and he wouldn't marry her". So I was less than 10 feet away from her while she was standing in front of the elevator and I let out, "Well, I know I'm short and funny, but I just don't play the piano". Well, she looked back, smiling, and the elevator bell rang and she went inside, as I proceeded to say, "But I play the trumpet!" And, of course, she smiled and was gone forever. Such is life. But what a memorable event. I wish that was my Ground Hog Day scenario.

Anton was a giant at 5'10. Most Hollywood dudes are like 5'6" or 5'7".
That's not giant for a woman in Hollywood. Most supermodels are at least 5'9. As are countless actresses.
I completely forgot she'd dated Dudley. I remember her dating Stallone, and then when they broke up. She wasn't tanned here. Her tan was a big part of her image.
