Easily one of the best wines we've tasted on the show - utterly blew us away! Time for us to come back to Germany and see how great they can really get! Riesling Tour perhaps?
That'd be AWESOME! I wonder if we couldn't do cellar-diving vid - go through some old cellars in Germany - see how old-wine matures - then have you out in Australia and do the same!
Great video guys! French wine geek living in Poland here. I discovered your channel very recently thanks to Konstantin Baum and you guys made me want to taste anything Aussie I can put my hands on, which is not an easy task in this part of Europe! Keep up the good work, your group chemistry is awesome to watch and Henry's journey into discovering wine a blessing to witness. Kudos from Poland!
The best part about watching these guys is the banter between mates! Noah's got the best palate, Brendan over thinks stuff and would pay far too much for a bottle ,Henry's no longer a novice cause he's probably blind tasting wine week in week out for the last 3 plus years and Locke who remains unseen just wants to stich them up. Shout out to Uniclo Zelo, I now buy bottles from them where I can simply because they employ this mob and allow them to do this sort of thing .
Another cracking video lads x would looove to see a total cash each of the boys dropped on the wines in the vid at the end of the each group discussion :)) Love your stuff fellas

What a big baller episode, loved this. Helps me narrow down what I buy myself for my 30th! Thanks immensely from my heart, not so much from my wallet ❤🤣🤣❤
Dan Standish wines are just consistently great every year as you guys say. Such great expressions of Barossa. Must buys every year (unfortunately for the wallet). The 2012 andelmonde is up there with one of the greatest wines I’ve had. The weight of those bottles is something else though
Aw shucks! Thank you so much! Seriously means the world to us! Yes - was a shame, but that's the way it goes - some of the best wines we've tried have come from that producer...
Thats some Wines you enjoy with friends they are also in toWine😁 I do Tastings like that with my friends once or twice a year . Everybody is bringing One or two Bottles of the Good, Stuff And some food .
Really fun video! Curious on one thing. The prices seem really high. I get the exact same jjprum for a tad over 60$ Cad$ which is like 45USD$. Your price if its in AUS is still near twice the price
Yeah, Australia does get stung with a pretty high tax (29% + 10%) - and then there are margins for importers and retailers (50%) - on top of some rather costly import costs (being at the bottom of the planet) - if you can get that wine at that price? Buy it in SPADES.
Were you guys told that these were expensive rare drops before tasting? I’m wandering how much confirmation bias played a part in this. What would happen if you were told that all these were bad goon? Sorry don’t mean to be ‘that guy’ I still love you boys.
Yeah this is exactly right, the fellas aren't given any details besides what Lochie tells them at the start of each video. This time they we're told it was "rare gems" and that's it. (It makes it more interesting that they have a general theme, instead of just randomly punting at a group of wines each episode). Also thankyou for watching ;)
They mean ‘Bottom line entry’. It’s a very over used economist statement meaning - being the cheapest item of its kind made by a manufacturer; produced as inexpensively as possible (opposed to top-of-the-line)
@@safmyk1 Its pretty much impossible for any of these wines to be BLE in that economic sense. It means BIG LABEL ENERGY and applies mainly to the Radikon, that does a lot of trading on its name value, but arguably all the wines here have a bit of hype and prestige.
The JJ is in the house! One of the best Riesling producers in the world

Count me in if Wine for the People and Kondtantin are going 😉
Yeah, we should go to the winery for a vertical tasting. It is incredible how well those wines age.
Roadshow perhaps?

That is a great idea! I'll start implementing this soon I reckon!
Big baller line-up. Happy to see you trying such cool wines! 2021 was a great Mosel vintage.
Hectic lineup huh? The fellas weren't anticipating it at all!
You all are brilliant. Foradori is an absolute favorite of mine. Great post. Thanks.

Haha glad you enjoyed it! Set the company back a bit of change but it was all worth it ;)
Locke got the Standish! JJ PRUM , RIPPON and the Standish what a line up
Haha we did our best to accommodate some baller wines with the help of Different Drop!
22:52 " Take the fffffff Radikon out of it and it's the best line up" lolll. I love these lads.

I'm glad you enjoy Dan Standish wines! They truly are exceptional. Those bottles are gnarly AF though - could easily anchor a ship!
Wines that slap + mouse = banger ep

killer line up boys!
Was bloody awesome!
Great show guys. You made me want to try Beaujolais Blanc. I’m sorry you get a flawed bottled I thought the Pinot Grigio looked oxidized as well.

Please do! You'll always be welcome at WFTP HQ!
Did Order the Beaujolais for 22€ a bottle. Lets see 😁what Food pairing would you guys think of?
Sausage and cassoulet or turbot in butter sauce.
Incredible we hope you enjoy it! Also @adamg.manning6088 that sounds amazing :)
Should do soulgrowers in Barossa
Oh that'd be a fun one!
what glasses do you guys use?
I believe we use 'Plumm' glasses, some were actually donated to us and we appreciate them greatly!
First

so wait who chose the wines? because that could be an interesting talk by itself
Different Drop pick the wines for us & Lochie assembles them at the start of each tasting :)
so it's a team job
It's an entire production! That's for sure!
$$$$ today
Big big money today $$$

Not “expensive” hence they undervalued most, but were told that they were “rare gems” or iconic wines, as explained at they beginning.

A lot of BLE at play here.
