It amazes me that the strongest proponents of bodily autonomy are the men and women with the largest bodies. The custodial parent who has custody of a child doesn't have to pay a court order child support monthly payment but they DO have to pay physical, emotional, mental & financial support for the child everyday, all day long, 24/7 , week after week ..month after month ..year after year ..whereas the non-custodial parent/ just has to ONE payment per month, and can avoid actual day to day parental duties and can go on to live their lives without any day to day hands on stressful child rearing. So you have it much easier than your ex, she has to give her life to raise YOUR child, all you have to do it make a payment or get your check garnished. At the end of the day, the issue is not really about child support. the issue is that men do not want the women (that they no longer have sexual access to ) to have any money that's going to help the child that they don't want to provide for

Now if it was MY kid, I would expect that any woman that I got pregnant was someone that I was in a relationship with, and respected me enough to at LEAST have a conversation about the abortion. She would then know that I was against it unless the 1st criteria was true. The custodial parent who has custody of a child doesn't have to pay a court order child support monthly payment but they DO have to pay physical, emotional, mental & financial support for the child everyday, all day long, 24/7 , week after week ..month after month ..year after year ..whereas the non-custodial parent/ just has to ONE payment per month,
and can avoid actual day to day parental duties and can go on to live their lives without any day to day hands on stressful child rearing.
So you have it much easier than your ex, she has to give her life to raise YOUR child, all you have to do it make a payment or get your check garnished.
At the end of the day, the issue is not really about child support.

Realistically I wouldn't WANT that right except if carrying the child to term was gonna kill the mom. If she was raped or diddled by a family member, then that choice is all hers. Now if it was MY kid, I would expect that any woman that I got pregnant was someone that I was in a relationship with, and respected me enough to at LEAST have a conversation about the abortion. She would then know that I was against it unless the 1st criteria was true. On the flip side, Women using abortion like it's Plan C, SHOULD mean that a guy should have the right to "abort" the child in terms of legal responsibility. If they pass THAT law, either abortions would go up (briefly), child support would disappear, and after that, then I suspect women would stop screwing every chad that crosses they're path and start committing to the guys that are actually good for them. Decades later the "Chads" would all but be extinct, because little boys would have fathers that taught them how to be men. And society as a whole would start shifting away from the mental illness we're calling normalcy.
