I feel you man. My mother passed about 3 years ago and yeah when you’re jus living, you don’t think of them and you’re really happy but then that one thing comes up and you remember them. You remember the good times you had with them and all the hardship as well. But hey, what are you gonna do? You just gotta enjoy the music of life and roll with the punches. Live well my friend.

While other celebs and musicians are struggling for relevancy in these strange times. Norah just pops up and plays us a few tunes with no bells nor whistles. No lectures or trying to say how she understands what were going through. No BS. Just pure raw talent. Just magical! I am in awe of this woman ❤❤❤

@Average Sheep So let me get this right.......You DON'T like Billie Eilish or Post Malone? It's not really clear 😂
Why are you spouting this drivel on here. Ruining what should be a peaceful and pleasant experience all so you can go off on one about 2 people that have nothing to do with this video. Why don't you feck off over to their videos to vomit your diatribe and leave us in peace to enjoy Norah.

Listening to norah makes me think of being a little girl and listening to it in the car with my mother. I am now almost 19 and my mother is now in her 50s and we were in the car together not too long ago and i put on norah. My mom looked over at me and said “I never get sick of listening to her” and i said “Neither do i” but i also knew this was my moms way of saying that these kinds of moments together will always be happy and special.

I have this same experience, but this was my nightmare song as I grew up lol. My mom would play it all the time when we were going to sleep and I would have nightmares of being stuck in the middle of the ocean with nothing in sight. I've grown to love the song as I've gotten older along with other Norah Jones songs. I'm 23 now and I still listen to her songs with my mom whenever I get to see her!

I think many bands and producers PUSHED many great singers through beautiful lyrics, just to meet their own goals. (Poor Pasty Cline come to mind-pushed to sing COUNTRY when she had the feelings of a Nora Jones behind the lyrics!

When this song came out, I was living in a city where I didn't have many friends, and felt totally isolated because the people around me were living really unhealthy, unsafe lives. I felt like I couldn't find my way. The sheer beauty of this album offered me a lot of solace in that time. Eventually, I moved away and built a really happy life. This past week I was back in that same city. I was in a beautiful restaurant (that didn't even exist when I was living in the city) and this song came on. I felt a sudden wash of compassion for myself and everyone I knew in that time. Thank you, Norah for sharing your gift over these many years.

I’ve always loved this tune but this raw, stripped down version is my favourite.
Years ago, during a jam session with some friends in the best pub that ever existed, a professional and very pretty soprano turned up and sang Gershwin’s Summertime with us. We all knew that where she’d placed herself, there was going to be a note that seemed impossible for any human to reach… and she hit it, clear as crystal.
As my friend, a great jazz guitarist in his seventies, said afterwards, ‘at that moment, every man in the room fell in love with her’.
Norah Jones has that same talent for melting hearts, she’s incredibly gifted, beautiful and full of soul.

Norah, this is epic on any measure or scale, not many people can sit at a piano without a microphone playing so beautifully and sing like a goddess, you truly are a hidden treasure, absolutely beautiful, thank you for putting me in a 5 minute trance. @@brianmgrim A camera's microphone isn't a typical microphone a singer will use during performance. Many professional singers use vocal enhancements that filter through their microphone to better their voice. This isn't the case here. I see how ignorant and sarcastic you're being, so you're comment is pretty pointless aha. But to clear your confusion not many singers can sit at a piano, sing and sound as good or better, with no professional microphone or vocal enhancements, than their vocals recorded in a recording studio.

If I read her correctly, I’m guessing that that’s exactly what she would want; for someone to listen to her rendition of her simple, yet extremely musically and emotionally sophisticated song and to accept it on its own terms without the filter of MTV and the Record Machine, Inc.
To me, it makes no difference. All the hoopla and bells and whistles is like painting a big broad smile on the Mona Lisa or straightening the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Listening to her on an upright piano in a regular domestic environment proves the power of her musical magic.
I suspect that works just fine for her.

Always wondered why UT doesn't mention who wrote the song; only the singers and bands ' names show?
What a beautiful bed of guitar chord roses, on which to base the flowing feelings of a Nora Jones; Just beautiful...wonder which came first, Jesse---? the chords, then the melody, yes ?I think many bands and producers PUSHED many great singers through beautiful lyrics, just to meet their own goals. (Poor Pasty Cline come to mind-pushed to sing COUNTRY when she had the feelings of a Nora Jones behind the lyrics!)
To those who claim to not "understand" the lyrics...Haven't you ever wondered why you procrastinated on a good deal, then thought about it later as having been a missed out on a good deal situation? Most humans have.

I've always loved this song, since you first recorded it. You are a very sweet musician honey. I'm 73 been playing music for 50 years or more guitar, bass vocals etc. I finally decided to buy a keyboard..and what a great experience it's been so far.. I hate neglecting my other children/instruments however I only wish I'd started on Keys when I was ten. Love you baby..Norah Jones you are such a sweet singer/keyboardist.

I came here watching a plane landing at KIX international and the song was playing on the background. I have listened to Nora Jones since she first appears in my musical universe and boy, watching her now is like I am entering her own universe! It all seem so unpretentious. The simple furniture, no luxury or high end machinery. Actually, it looks like my grandmother's house. It speaks of the simplicity of this artist and the raw talent she displays. She just could be anyone sister or cousin singing for the family in the living room and everybody in awe admiring her beautiful voice. No many artists have the power to impact people like she does. Truly an angel's voice.

my dad used to own a vinyl collection when I was a kid and the record he put on the most is Norah Jones' Come Away With Me album. He sold the collection long time ago for some money during a difficult time. It has been 10 years but her songs are always my timeless favorite.
