I sang this a capella with my freshman year choir and it sounded so amazing and powerful with all of us together harmonizing. The energy in the air felt like it was alive; I really miss that.

    The falling leaves
    Drift by my window
    The autumn leaves
    Of red and gold
    I see your lips
    The summer kisses
    The sunburned hands
    I used to hold
    Since you went away
    The days grow long
    And soon I'll hear
    Old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
    Since you went away
    The days grow long
    And soon I'll hear
    Old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Yes, I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Reading to all of the many different opinions. That’s what makes music listening so subjective. To one musician’s ear this sounds fantastic. To another, they feel it’s the wrong approach.
Everyone is entitled to express their feelings. I found it hauntingly beautiful and I enjoyed the conductors interpretation. it would be a nice introduction to a young, vocal, jazz ensemble to try mastering.

Beautiful! But if were the conductor, I would slow it down ~50%, with more free tempo.

Hey bud. You’re doing fine. You’ll get back on your feet soon. Keep moving forward. Remember. Your focus determines your reality. I hope you’re doing well and living safe and healthy. I love you. Don’t cry for the past. Rather live for the future. 16 year old my memories of you are fading but I know the love you gave me and others. 20 year old me. You’re struggling. It’s alright. You’ll be alright. Follow your heart and live everyday to the fullest. I’ll see you soon. Just because it’s a bad day doesn’t mean a bad life. I’ll see you soon lol bro . I love you big bro. Always and forever.

nice arr., but in my vie, it is too rushed. this song is a reflection of what was...it should be pensive and reflective...it must be. these harmonies are very nice, but think about how nice rubato would bring out both harmony and emotion. think? don't rush the listener. let me direct it, or find someone who will take and initiate the presented vision. you'll see that i'm right. there is no musical or practical reason to do so.

I like the arrangement and generally the singing is good, but I'm bothered by the audible breaths. Trained singers should be able to breath silently.

replay sounds vocally very close to clipping end prases, particularly. weak entrance of men. did not care for traveling minor/major change---wasn't musically in keeping w/ totality of piece. just simply not the correct approach to this piece. it is just not. the execution of yje piece reminds me of the concet i heard, in which the christmas section + the halle chorus and the amen chorus was sung in a jaw-dropping 39 minutes from start to finish. it happened.
