Nice Videos on the Class 465, my childhood trains. Only the most damaged / eroded of the Class will be leaving the fleet and be put in storage, due to lack of depot space in the area to accommodate the new trains as well as the current fleet. Only a small number of the fleet will go and there is a possibility they will come back if demand for train travel increases to pre pandemic levels. At least they are not all going, and I think most of the storage units may have gone now. Also 8 707s have now arrived at SE (if you wanted to know).
My local Station is heavily occupied by SE class 465s. They were what changed the way I saw trains. I've known them all my life, I will really miss them when or if they go.
Good news for you I guess, only some of the class 465 variants will be put in ‘storage’ probably never to be seen again unless southeastern lets people buy them for maintaining them. I think those variants are probably the Class 466 and Class 465/2, It makes sense for the Alsthom variants as the others have seen refurbishment previously. I have proof too as southeastern said ‘the redundant Class 465/466s will be taken off-lease and sent for storage, but the majority of the class will remain in service.’
In the title card, you made a mitsake. The 707s are coming from South Western Railway. I know that because I live in SWR territory and 707s are common on my line, along with 450s and 458s
Do you think that Southeastern will be getting rid the rest of the Class 465 and Class 466 DC EMU Networkers and to order branch new trains to replace them. As Great Northern are also going to get rid of the Class 365 AC EMU Networkers. And Chiltern Railways & GWR to replace the Class 165 and Class 166 DMU Networkers and to order new trains.
Nice video through the thing is the 707s are replacing some of the older networkers as there is only 30 707s so they can't really replace every Networker or there will be less services anyway so some are still gonna be around then.
Yes, not all networkers are being replaced however lots of them are and we were just highlighting the work they’ve done for the Southeastern network and how it’ll be different without tjem

Totally agree, thanks for the info as well

Think southeastern needs a new fleet of trains
they were unique, and a fair quality ride
These units are my favourite, it's good that some are staying but the 707s should also be good
5:06 nice transition
thank you haha

Ah yes sorry, that is my mistake, I have added a note in the description to correct this.

@@thechilterntrainspotters Ah I see.
They might replace the Javworkers: The Class 465 0s and 465 1s
@@foysolwahab7682 nope alot of the javworkers as you say are still in service
Maybe they should be given to Southern alongside the 376 as a gift. The Uckfield line could be electrified and they could run 466s on it!
466 can only run in multiple the 465s because of lack of accessable toilets
2:35 mmmmm \m/
Sad, so sad
Yup
good thing most of them are staying
Thay are not going it’s the 376s that is going
only the /2s have gone off lease, and will probably be scrapped. 466s that went to storage are coming back
