I think sets like these bring more fans in because the barrier to entry is lower. Tons of films at a competitive price point. Not everyone wants a super deluxe edition and not everyone can afford one. It is a disappointing to new fans when they find the genre years after releases and cannot get them because only a few were made. We are living in the best timeline for martial arts film releases for sure. I remember watching and still have bootlegs when I was growing up watching in the late 80s and 90s.
I picked up Jackie Chan vol 1 set - haven't started to watch those but familiar with most of those older movies.... I don't know if I'll pick up Vol 2 even tho it has some great movies I already had the individual discs from imports - I'll be curious to see if Shout releases a Vol 3 or not.... either way it's great to have these all in nice collections!
This will amuse you Brother, To Kill With Intrigue inspired me to start writing. I love it - a strong nostalgic tie to it. I know it's not particularly good though. Good job - a lot of ground covered. How about we do a collaboration on ranking Jackie's 70s output in reverse order? That might be fun...
Im in the UK I’ve never watched those early early pre drunken master films since I was a kid. 88 films have drawn me in on a couple of re releases - New Fist of Fury recently picked up. I’ve not watched City Hunter for years mainly because it’s terrible 😂

Hope you enjoy the set! And honestly, I feel like a 3rd volume is unlikely, but I could be wrong.
Got both set very well done and with good extras also good reviews brother first class stuff 👍🏾
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds like a plan big brother!
I think shout factory did a great job with their box sets that they put out. It’s a lot better then wbr
