Technically Yuma and astral is the easiest character to duel at the gate, his monsters only go up to 900 atk but he usually passes on a 300 or 200 atk monster
That's a great video, I'll subscribe. I've been playing for a year now as f2p and I'm really happy with my collection. I have tons of deck viable (f2p version of course, but some SR ticket staples are funny and very strong, like enemy Controller). I farm a little whenever I need gems and usually in 4-5 days of farming I get the amount that I need. I point out that I play other games and usually I can afford 1/1.5 hours at day to play videogames. All of this to say that is possible to enjoy the game as f2p, you just need patience, like lots of things in life ;)
Quick f2p tip: level a characher until its 1 game away from the next gem reward so you don't need to worry about expiring gems, i have 10k ready for a good box in addition to my 9,999 gems.
It's good to invest on D/D/D box. Not only it can make good plays on rank. It can be a farm deck if you have Winged Dragon of RA, the trick is getting LP by abusing DDD Oracle + Dark Contract burns, Oracle can convert dark contract burn damage into heal. Reaching 10k+ LP summon Winged Dragon of RA for Big damage. Welp it can also auto duel easily and good for casual duels. Welp that's mine so yeah goodluck
For the gate caracters i always duel Charly(the og from 5ds) the most powerful monster she has its 800 (the others have 0 atk) and she evan has a trap that kills her if you're lucky. Hope it helps someone to farm faster
I quit the game for reasons but came back for a thing... but you did the Ultimate Gem Guide too well. I follow those exact rules too. And I wished old packs were always 50 gems per pack. SIGH... If only.
@@GhostEagleOfficial You're welcome. I've done what you've done in your guide... until a certain event *eyes the Elemental Saber/Invoked Deck era* that made me quit the game REALLY hard. I promised myself that I would return to get free gems and stuff... but I didn't haha... Regrets were made, but I'm back and got some stuff at the least. I will say the big letdown to earn gems is mainly the Ranked Duels. Not worth it in my honest opinion but everything else is worth it, especially events or giveaways like anniversaries or special events.
There's also the rare exp multiplier event. Really helps out for those higher level characters or to get to lv 30 faster. However I call it rare cuz Komoney seems to only redo the event every month or so. And even then, it only lasts for about a week, so I wouldn't count on it too heavily.
Not to mention u can get free 5 gems(once per day) by watching on an replay that can yelp the new players (like me)to understand how to play those kind of cards

I don't want to say going for a copy of Book of Moon is ever bad, you can run it in any deck realistically, so it's a valuable card. However, the Selection Boxes are kind of a rip-off when it comes to gems. Especially the big ones, 60 packs at 200 Gems is 12,000 -- which you would likely pull your Book before that, but it's not guaranteed (nor will they even let you buy that many with gems). I think Chaotic Soldiers is better if all you really want is Book of Moon. I would save up to around 5000, then go through Chaotic Soldiers 1 pack at a time and see what you can get. Alternatively, go for staples in the half-off gem sale first while we have it. Such as Forbidden Chalice/Lance, Drowning Mirror Force, etc. Chalice is underrated in my eyes, and I personally believe it to be comparable to Book of Moon. Book is better, it's more versatile -- but Chalice is right there next to it. Negate a Harpie Channeler on their turn or a Cyber Slash on yours. It can disrupt and protect like Book.
Just a question, I just started playing: Why do I only have the first Booster to buy in the shop? The Ultimate blue eyes dragon one. And there's only that one When I do go into the game again it does say that I still have 4 GB left to download, are all the new sets included there? Or do I need to unlock them somehow? I only just beat joey with the first Deck and now I have his, so that's where I'm at I also saw in another guide where someone began at a time where they got 3.6k gems for free for various things, but I didn't get anything like that yet, I just got 60 and had to spend 50 immediatly
I would let that download finish entirely to begin with, that's odd; you should be able to access all of the shop, so I imagine that's the issue. As far as the 3,600 gems, I've never heard of way to just obtain that right from the get go without doing anything. However, that is a very easy number to reach right from get go -- with the plethora of things you can do right away. Leveling up is easy to start, as well as the stage missions. Unless there's something big I'm missing, I'd like to see that video 😅 But yeah, I'd let the download finish completely and focus on getting characters up to Lv. 10-15 and the stage missions. You'll get a ton of gems quicker than you think. I imagine that's what that video was maybe referring to, because they are all 'free' just not given. Then focus on a deck you want to build and have a plan for it! Gem wise and ticket wise. Lemme know what it's looking like once it's fully installed!
Did a little more digging, you might still be in the tutorial as well. Keep dueling and get past that. And the losing 50 Gems is mandatory from what I understand. But once your past all that and it's fully installed, you should get an influx of gems (I doubt that much though), and the shop should be fully available!

One was cuz it was one of the anime protagonists' birthday, another one was just for installing the game and there was a 3rd or even a 4th event It also seems to be a normal issue, cuz in some cases like mine the game doesn't fully download. I did a few duel quizzes and won against joey all while the game wasn't fully downloaded. Cuz that was the first time I went into the game. On the second time it downloads the rest, that is kinda the trigger for the rest of the download

I got 5.6k gems right off the bat 🤣 Idk why exactly, but there were a lot of things there like 4th anniversary and lots of other things. Also got the blue eyes dragon and that other one along with 2 pendulum cards I have a lot of questions, but I can answer most of them myself by just doing some research. But I do have a few for you. A lot actually, but a short answer is all I need, I don't wanna have you write an essay for me. One short sentence as an answer is all I need and not long explanations, I'll figure it out myself later down the line. First thing to get out of the way: what does DM stand for? Cuz I need to reach Stage 9 (DM) or 10 to unlock the newer worlds (I'd love to unlock the 5Ds and the newest world). Is DM the current world I'm in and I just need to get to Stage 9 or 10? I'm currently at Stage 6. 2. I am not some competitive player and I don't aim to be one. I just wanna play and have some fun with some OG decks like Six Samurai, Dark world, some older Dragon decks and also a stardust dragon one. But I am smart enough to not immediatly waste my gems, first I wanna invest in a good deck with which I can farm gems well and then I'm gonna get all those decks. Better that than spending all my gems on those decks and have difficulties with getting gems then. So the 2nd question: are meta decks=good decks for farming? If yes, then I may make a burning abyss one first, there are versions of it that don't cost 50k, I saw a 15k version of it that is still pretty good 3. Well, the meta. I've seen what the top decks are right now. All of them too expensive, if I'd have to take one then I'd go for the cheap and f2p friendly version of the BA deck. I also like BA a lot more than harpies lol. But I did see some comment about a new structure deck coming that may change the meta again completely. And again, I don't know if we get a lot of gems for ranked or PvP matches in general. If yes, then having a good meta deck is important, if not then it's not 4. Small question about Pendulum stuff. I know how it works. But for some reason I can't put my pendulum cards that I got in the pendulum zone. I only got the Option to normal summon it. Am I missing something here? Would be awesome if I could use them cuz then I could just special summon monsters up to level 7 and win faster against the currently easy CPUs 5. Is there some way to do things faster in the duels? I know I can skip stuff by just clicking all the time, but maybe there is another trick to it, idk What about all the items? I know that keys are for the different gate characters, that's fine I mainly wonder about the tickets for URs and SRs. I can get ultra rare and super rare cards with them right? I got quite a few. So what's the difference between the normal and prismatic ones? I also just got a UR dream ticket (glossy). What does that do? And just as a test I searched to take a Stardust Dragon with one of them (not prismatic). Stardust Dragon is an UR but I couldn't find it, it wasn't there. So can I not choose to take just any UR I want or did I make some mistake? Would be good if I could get Dante that way for free lol. Also are there some good staple cards that I can get with the SR or maybe even just the S and N tickets? Like mystic typhoon or the currently popular Book of Moon. And then there's some other things like those blue jewels or the gold, for what do I use them? I also have 2 skill tickets, which skills should I get? Personally, if BA stays in the meta then I'd get whatever skill is the best for that deck and the other ticket I'd maybe use for another meta skill? Idk And last but not least the events. Are they important for getting free stuff and gems? If yes, which ones? I've also thought of the alternative of buying the 2 structure decks needed for a stardust dragon/shooting star dragon deck. Would cost me 2k and it's not a tier 1 deck, but it's a lot better than my current garbage deck that I now started with and it could give me an easier start for farming. I'm currently at 5.8k gems. I did see that I need to do a lifetime Mission to get the shooting star dragon. What even is this kind of mission and when will I get that specific one? Can I also get more copies of that card later on? And maybe I'm just paranoid, but can I do fancy things like synchro, xyz and pendulum summoning right off the bat or only from their seperate worlds and onwards? Would be nice if I can just crush the easier CPU opponents at the beginning now using those, that would speed up the process a lot
@Toni Leo 1. Stands for Duel Monsters. I'm pretty sure you unlock GX from there, and then 5D's from GX. 2. I recommend starting with a Gaia or Blue Eyes deck. Their structure decks are 1000 gems, but worth it. Gaia is meta and one deck will give you the core of it. Blue Eyes is a fine rogue deck. (Build Six Sams during a half off gem sale!) 3. Yes and no. They'll guarantee you a win playing manually, but the Auto Duelist can have a hard time with combos and sink a game. Plus most meta decks need combos and board set up, makes the farming slower. A simple beatdown quick is efficient. 4. I would use one of the two decks I recommended to get you started. Then save for a competitive deck that appeals to you. 5. What Pendulum cards were they? That's unusual 6. All I can really say is using a faster simpler farming deck. Also try to get in a rhythm, I find that helps. 7. So the standard tickets of any rarity can only be used on a pool of certain cards. For most SR's and UR's they can only be used on drop rewards cards (cards you get for beating Legendary Duelists if you're lucky with their reward for beating them, Dark Magician for Yami Yugi as an example.) They cannot be used on any card in a box, like Stardust Dragon. The Ranked Duel tickets can access a bigger pool of cards, and ones exclusive to that can only be obtained in that way. The Dream Ticket on the other can get any UR or SR from any box except the newest ones, that's why they're rare. (You probably have a few, ticket with the Blue Eyes on it.) 8. Glossy and Prisma are rarer versions of cards (only SR's and UR's can be prismatic, every other card can be Glossy.) Prismatic are very rare, making them more valuable and special. Like a prismatic Stardust is a lot more valuable than one that is not. It's rare to pull them. 9. Ultimate Providence is a great R card. In the Card Trader you can find Anti Magic Arrows (decent substitute for MST), as well as Murmur of the Forest (decent sub for BoM), these are completely free, no gems needed. Forbidden Chalice is one of the best cards in the game and it's only a SR, in a Mini Box, which means getting one copy isn't too hard. 10. Blue Jewel is an EXP Booster, I touched on it towards the end of this video. Coins are how you get cards from the Card Trader. I would hold onto one skill Ticket at least for the future. (Mind of the Plana is what BA is using). 11. Yes yes yes. Everyone of them. Specifically the KC Cup gives a ton of gems. Other events hook you up with a bunch of items too. 12. Shooting Star is a fine deck, if it appeals to you more than Gaia and Blue Eyes then definitely get it! 13. It'll say what you need to do for that copy of SSD somewhere in the missions under lifetime, you just gotta dig through a lot to find it 14. I'm pretty sure to unlock them you'll have to get to 5D's and Zexal? I'm not sure though, I'd imagine if you had Tuners and Synchros before unlocking the stages you should be able to.. Hope this helped!
Why can the vagabond auto duel so well, but mine will forget to even summon or set a monster sometimes, or blow my own boss monsters up with my own card effects.
@@GhostEagleOfficial I had Mist Archfiend in a beater deck and it summoned it, didn't attack and then ended turn so it blew up and killed me once. A dueling monkey has better decisions.
Correction: The weakest level 10 gate character (so far) is Yuma Tsukumo level 10. He runs mostly monsters that doesn't even reach 1000 attack points. Yes, he runs an ED monster but that's just Baby Tiragon (900 Atk Xyz monster that requires 3 level 1 monsters)

I stopped playing DL when MD came out but now I wanted to build the new HERO deck in DL, so I started playing again. I was all excited as I knew I had a lot of Loner decks stored up, BUT THEN KONAMI JUST DECIDED TO REMOVE LONER DECKS, LIKE, WTF KOMONEY??? Now it's even harder for new players or returning players to grind for gems, I swear, their greed will kill the game one day. I guess I better start leveling up new characters...

No it definitely is, but I would go harder when the EXP campaign is there. Something I used to do was get characters 1 Lv. away from 250 Gems, then when the EXP Campaign came around, I used it to push them all another level and rack up a ton of Gems.
i actually have 2 scripts to auto duel lv10 at the gate and suicide in casual for maximum exp while afk-ing, stacking up key at casual duel then waiting for exp boost event

I worded it badly. So what he meant was: Gems past 9,999 will go to your gift box, so if you're a huge saver, those gems in the gift box will expire eventually -- so basically spend your gems and then claim the ones in your gift box so they have no chance to expire. Yeah I really fumbled on explaining that one, apologies!
At first, the more you do it, the easier that gets. I still get nervous and frustrated in PvP sometimes, but I usually just try to have more confidence in myself, and that helps. Realize that you are capable of beating who you're playing, and if you objectively can't because of an awful hand or an unbreakable board, then you take that L, happens to literally everyone. But past those unavoidable misfortunes, never assume you're not good enough. Really, the best way to get better is to keep dueling; it's cliché to say, but every loss does help you in the long run, and makes PvP a little more approachable.

The starter Amazoness deck I had did surprisingly well on autoduel against the Vagabond. For the standard duelists I use Red-Eyes for autoduel.

I only just beat joey with the first Deck and now I have his, so that's where I'm at
I also saw in another guide where someone began at a time where they got 3.6k gems for free for various things, but I didn't get anything like that yet, I just got 60 and had to spend 50 immediatly
I would let that download finish entirely to begin with, that's odd; you should be able to access all of the shop, so I imagine that's the issue. As far as the 3,600 gems, I've never heard of way to just obtain that right from the get go without doing anything. However, that is a very easy number to reach right from get go -- with the plethora of things you can do right away. Leveling up is easy to start, as well as the stage missions. Unless there's something big I'm missing, I'd like to see that video 😅
But yeah, I'd let the download finish completely and focus on getting characters up to Lv. 10-15 and the stage missions. You'll get a ton of gems quicker than you think. I imagine that's what that video was maybe referring to, because they are all 'free' just not given.
Then focus on a deck you want to build and have a plan for it! Gem wise and ticket wise. Lemme know what it's looking like once it's fully installed!
Did a little more digging, you might still be in the tutorial as well. Keep dueling and get past that. And the losing 50 Gems is mandatory from what I understand. But once your past all that and it's fully installed, you should get an influx of gems (I doubt that much though), and the shop should be fully available!
@@GhostEagleOfficial okay, thanks. The 3.6k they got was just for special celebrations or sth like that. One was cuz it was one of the anime protagonists' birthday, another one was just for installing the game and there was a 3rd or even a 4th event
It also seems to be a normal issue, cuz in some cases like mine the game doesn't fully download. I did a few duel quizzes and won against joey all while the game wasn't fully downloaded. Cuz that was the first time I went into the game. On the second time it downloads the rest, that is kinda the trigger for the rest of the download

I have a lot of questions, but I can answer most of them myself by just doing some research. But I do have a few for you. A lot actually, but a short answer is all I need, I don't wanna have you write an essay for me. One short sentence as an answer is all I need and not long explanations, I'll figure it out myself later down the line.
First thing to get out of the way: what does DM stand for? Cuz I need to reach Stage 9 (DM) or 10 to unlock the newer worlds (I'd love to unlock the 5Ds and the newest world). Is DM the current world I'm in and I just need to get to Stage 9 or 10? I'm currently at Stage 6.
2. I am not some competitive player and I don't aim to be one. I just wanna play and have some fun with some OG decks like Six Samurai, Dark world, some older Dragon decks and also a stardust dragon one.
But I am smart enough to not immediatly waste my gems, first I wanna invest in a good deck with which I can farm gems well and then I'm gonna get all those decks. Better that than spending all my gems on those decks and have difficulties with getting gems then.
So the 2nd question: are meta decks=good decks for farming? If yes, then I may make a burning abyss one first, there are versions of it that don't cost 50k, I saw a 15k version of it that is still pretty good
3. Well, the meta. I've seen what the top decks are right now. All of them too expensive, if I'd have to take one then I'd go for the cheap and f2p friendly version of the BA deck. I also like BA a lot more than harpies lol. But I did see some comment about a new structure deck coming that may change the meta again completely. And again, I don't know if we get a lot of gems for ranked or PvP matches in general. If yes, then having a good meta deck is important, if not then it's not
4. Small question about Pendulum stuff. I know how it works. But for some reason I can't put my pendulum cards that I got in the pendulum zone. I only got the Option to normal summon it. Am I missing something here? Would be awesome if I could use them cuz then I could just special summon monsters up to level 7 and win faster against the currently easy CPUs
5. Is there some way to do things faster in the duels? I know I can skip stuff by just clicking all the time, but maybe there is another trick to it, idk

I know that keys are for the different gate characters, that's fine
I mainly wonder about the tickets for URs and SRs. I can get ultra rare and super rare cards with them right? I got quite a few.
So what's the difference between the normal and prismatic ones? I also just got a UR dream ticket (glossy). What does that do?
And just as a test I searched to take a Stardust Dragon with one of them (not prismatic). Stardust Dragon is an UR but I couldn't find it, it wasn't there. So can I not choose to take just any UR I want or did I make some mistake? Would be good if I could get Dante that way for free lol.
Also are there some good staple cards that I can get with the SR or maybe even just the S and N tickets? Like mystic typhoon or the currently popular Book of Moon.
And then there's some other things like those blue jewels or the gold, for what do I use them?
I also have 2 skill tickets, which skills should I get? Personally, if BA stays in the meta then I'd get whatever skill is the best for that deck and the other ticket I'd maybe use for another meta skill? Idk
And last but not least the events. Are they important for getting free stuff and gems? If yes, which ones?
I've also thought of the alternative of buying the 2 structure decks needed for a stardust dragon/shooting star dragon deck. Would cost me 2k and it's not a tier 1 deck, but it's a lot better than my current garbage deck that I now started with and it could give me an easier start for farming. I'm currently at 5.8k gems. I did see that I need to do a lifetime Mission to get the shooting star dragon. What even is this kind of mission and when will I get that specific one? Can I also get more copies of that card later on?
And maybe I'm just paranoid, but can I do fancy things like synchro, xyz and pendulum summoning right off the bat or only from their seperate worlds and onwards? Would be nice if I can just crush the easier CPU opponents at the beginning now using those, that would speed up the process a lot

1. Stands for Duel Monsters. I'm pretty sure you unlock GX from there, and then 5D's from GX.
2. I recommend starting with a Gaia or Blue Eyes deck. Their structure decks are 1000 gems, but worth it. Gaia is meta and one deck will give you the core of it. Blue Eyes is a fine rogue deck. (Build Six Sams during a half off gem sale!)
3. Yes and no. They'll guarantee you a win playing manually, but the Auto Duelist can have a hard time with combos and sink a game. Plus most meta decks need combos and board set up, makes the farming slower. A simple beatdown quick is efficient.
4. I would use one of the two decks I recommended to get you started. Then save for a competitive deck that appeals to you.
5. What Pendulum cards were they? That's unusual
6. All I can really say is using a faster simpler farming deck. Also try to get in a rhythm, I find that helps.
7. So the standard tickets of any rarity can only be used on a pool of certain cards. For most SR's and UR's they can only be used on drop rewards cards (cards you get for beating Legendary Duelists if you're lucky with their reward for beating them, Dark Magician for Yami Yugi as an example.) They cannot be used on any card in a box, like Stardust Dragon. The Ranked Duel tickets can access a bigger pool of cards, and ones exclusive to that can only be obtained in that way. The Dream Ticket on the other can get any UR or SR from any box except the newest ones, that's why they're rare. (You probably have a few, ticket with the Blue Eyes on it.)
8. Glossy and Prisma are rarer versions of cards (only SR's and UR's can be prismatic, every other card can be Glossy.) Prismatic are very rare, making them more valuable and special. Like a prismatic Stardust is a lot more valuable than one that is not. It's rare to pull them.
9. Ultimate Providence is a great R card. In the Card Trader you can find Anti Magic Arrows (decent substitute for MST), as well as Murmur of the Forest (decent sub for BoM), these are completely free, no gems needed. Forbidden Chalice is one of the best cards in the game and it's only a SR, in a Mini Box, which means getting one copy isn't too hard.
10. Blue Jewel is an EXP Booster, I touched on it towards the end of this video. Coins are how you get cards from the Card Trader. I would hold onto one skill Ticket at least for the future. (Mind of the Plana is what BA is using).
11. Yes yes yes. Everyone of them. Specifically the KC Cup gives a ton of gems. Other events hook you up with a bunch of items too.
12. Shooting Star is a fine deck, if it appeals to you more than Gaia and Blue Eyes then definitely get it!
13. It'll say what you need to do for that copy of SSD somewhere in the missions under lifetime, you just gotta dig through a lot to find it
14. I'm pretty sure to unlock them you'll have to get to 5D's and Zexal? I'm not sure though, I'd imagine if you had Tuners and Synchros before unlocking the stages you should be able to..

I will keep the exp boost items fir Vagabonds. That's for sure. Not easy when you need a certain piece to unlock characters *cough* DSOD.
Why can the vagabond auto duel so well, but mine will forget to even summon or set a monster sometimes, or blow my own boss monsters up with my own card effects.
I've wondered that forever 😅 they are definitely different A.I. The one we get seems to be out for blood, even if it's his own
@@GhostEagleOfficial I had Mist Archfiend in a beater deck and it summoned it, didn't attack and then ended turn so it blew up and killed me once. A dueling monkey has better decisions.

The weakest level 10 gate character (so far) is Yuma Tsukumo level 10.
He runs mostly monsters that doesn't even reach 1000 attack points.
Yes, he runs an ED monster but that's just Baby Tiragon (900 Atk Xyz monster that requires 3 level 1 monsters)

Despite the Loaner Deck Duels and Duel Quizzes being removed, after less than one month of play on a brand new account I've achieved 9999 gems! I'm still wondering what deck to build tho
I stopped playing DL when MD came out but now I wanted to build the new HERO deck in DL, so I started playing again. I was all excited as I knew I had a lot of Loner decks stored up, BUT THEN KONAMI JUST DECIDED TO REMOVE LONER DECKS, LIKE, WTF KOMONEY??? Now it's even harder for new players or returning players to grind for gems, I swear, their greed will kill the game one day. I guess I better start leveling up new characters...

Is EXP grinding not worth it without the EXP campaign?
No it definitely is, but I would go harder when the EXP campaign is there. Something I used to do was get characters 1 Lv. away from 250 Gems, then when the EXP Campaign came around, I used it to push them all another level and rack up a ton of Gems.

usually very op decks gets the banlist and konami gives no gem refund so think twice about wasting 30k on making that sweet tier 1 deck

I worded it badly. So what he meant was: Gems past 9,999 will go to your gift box, so if you're a huge saver, those gems in the gift box will expire eventually -- so basically spend your gems and then claim the ones in your gift box so they have no chance to expire.

pvp is scary.
At first, the more you do it, the easier that gets. I still get nervous and frustrated in PvP sometimes, but I usually just try to have more confidence in myself, and that helps. Realize that you are capable of beating who you're playing, and if you objectively can't because of an awful hand or an unbreakable board, then you take that L, happens to literally everyone. But past those unavoidable misfortunes, never assume you're not good enough. Really, the best way to get better is to keep dueling; it's cliché to say, but every loss does help you in the long run, and makes PvP a little more approachable.

At a time, if you get more while having 9999 it'll go to your gift box, but they will expire if you don't use them in time
