- Well, be showing you a tutorial on how to build a simple and easy automatic afk fish farm in Minecraft 1.20. This automatic afk fish farm works on the Bedrock and Java edition of Minecraft. This fish farm can get you a lot of treasure loot, fish, and XP. It works and I was surprised to see the treasure loot…. Went and built a sculk one just to find this one for more
Great build! With pocket edition can just click the "fish" button, so it's super easy. I removed the lava personally because i think it has a chance to burn items. I could be mistaken, but the extra click of the fish button to reel and then cast, along with the durability loss, isn't a nuisance
the lava prevents the fishing rod from breaking, as long as there’s a hopper minecart under the lava with a sign no items can burn (you can test with dirt blocks)

On xbox when you hold down the fish button it just spams, it doesn't stay still

you only mentioned it working in bedrock, but your description says it works in java. Does it work in java? I don't want to waste materials

After awhile my loot burns in the lava and chest doesn't collect
Can someone please explain why lava prevents the rod from deteriorating?
So when you throw your fishing rod into a water logged chest, for some reason, there's a glitch where once a fish is caught, the hook will fall onto the ground. Once you retract the hook, that takes durability off your fishing rod, so throwing it doesn't. It's retracting the hook that brings down the durability. While you're using the fish farm, you'll notice that your hook catches on fire for a brief moment before going away sometimes. When the hook falls off the water logged chest and into the lava, it automatically gets retracted, which keeps your durability since you're not manually retracting the hook. The game thinks that you haven't retracted the hook, so your durability doesn't go down.
@@minecraftnerd8698 Ohhh okay, cheers for that, I was really lost there and couldn't find much online to clear the air. I honestly had never heard of that little glitch before, I've been playing Minecraft for a long time, but there's always things I haven't done, this being one of them.

An autoclicker will make it work AFK. Hope this helps.

If u got lure 3 id say set it around 8 seconds, 10s to be safe

Look up a Java one, they’re much more efficient, at least most farms are if not all

@@jovandm4928 that doesn’t work my guy tried it and it isn’t accurate to keep up with the catch losing most of the loot or breaking the fishing rod when it recasts over and over again.

Another hopper going out of the bottom of the storage chest into another chest. Should work. And you can add more bellow that chest.

@@BochyChoy when you cast your rod prolly like count how much seconds it takes and thats how much frequent your clicks will be. i put mine at 10.5s
