@@dkskcjfjswwwwwws413 quite the opposite. theres a new glitch called quick gauss, used in this run. There is a cap on the jump speed though. Thats why the run uses ducktaps instead.

And how on earth can you get 999 fps? I know HL is a very old game but still... is it because the game is playing at a very slow timescale?
Modern high end computers can render over 1000 fps on most maps actually. My low end laptop can only do about 200 though. So its possible because of slow timescale yeah

@@quadrazid Pls answer this question: Why are all of you speedruners using default models instead of HD models? Like idk if there is a difference in them cuz HD model guns feel more powerful and less precise. Is that true? Whatever is the case pls tell me, no seriously i really wanna know.

Oh,if you mean Gauss Gun then it is simply a backwards booster
You charge it,it fires stronger shot but it gives you recoil knocking you backwards slightly,it is used to bunnyhop faster or do extremely long jumps or other cool things that boost can help with :)
