Well in the groove there kidda full on bass face the works, youve got time groove n feel ... Good on ya youll be the backbone of any band . Cant teach groove n feel 👍👍 you've got it
Your feel is great can't teach that, either have it or don't and you have it in spades fella... Any band would welcome you and your funk with open arms 👌
Nice licks and a great vintage Status. Tone's a little trebly to my ear but that bass has a nice voice and you articulate it really well. Those open Es sound amazing
Great cover! Keep going. You are so good and I can't wait to see what you do next! To be so young and have such mastery at this age. I know you must have practiced with such dedication. I admire that so much.
It could be argued that Duran Duran is a less sophisticated version of cult heroes Japan. The visual and musical aesthetics are quite similar between the two. Mick Karn, their bass player, has genre-defining originality and virtuosity. If you like John Taylor, you'll love Mick Karn: ruclips.net/video/g_z2AmEqyAI/видео.html
I agree, both bands do have very similar musical and visual aesthetics but I find John Taylor and Mick Karn to approach the bass with very different perspectives. Love both of their work.
Wow. What a nice bass. Can you tell me what brand and model is? Congratulations. John Taylor is one of my favorite bass players. After Rio album. John learned much from the late and great Bernard Edwards.
Thank you so much! Yes, I do play in a band and we are currently writing our own stuff and working on a setlist so we can go out gigging. Hopefully this summer!
Deep respect to John Tyalor man. That bass is not easy to play. This cover is magnificent.
Thanks so much! John Taylor is an under appreciated bassist!
I agree, I struggle often on stage when I see this track on the set list ! ;-)
John Taylor’s bass playing is effortless yet complex. Always been a fan. Great work here!
Thanks!
Stellar job dude, this bassline is no joke.
Can't beat 1980's music ...
You did a superb job there 👌
Thank you very much!
The best era in music, that's for sure.
@@dustyjoe71 100% agree
Duran Duran, one of the most underrated band in the world. They are pure genius!!!
lol... how are they underrated?
That's a real nice job on a pretty tough bass line. If I get my time machine working we're heading back to the 80's.
You play SO WELL!
I love your video of “too shy”… JUST WOW! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Simply the COOLEST bass guitar ever designed & produced!!!!!!! 💜👍🏻👍🏻
No doubt!
You got the tone as well as the playing absolutely correct. Spot on!
The beauty of a status is the amount of variation of sounds you can get out of it ... But yeah the tone is bang on brither
Bass brother

There will never be a more vibrant time for music than the 80's. You have an amazing back catalogue to work with. An amazing job 👍
Great Cover. I like your music selection brings me back to my High School days. lots of great music and Bass players back in the day,

すごい!!すごい!
yeah dude.
カッコ良すぎます!胸が高鳴りました!
Killer dude.. Nailed it
Oh man proper proper bass face.... Grooving like a MF. 👍👍
Great!!
I hated being skint and having to sell my beloved status empathy . Nothing comes close to the range of sounds that fantastic instruments delivered 😢😢
Ah that’s a shame, maybe one day you’ll get it back or get another one.
John Taylor and Mark King were innovative bassist, probably not as revered for this as they should be because it was just top 40 pop music.
I totally agree, both should have got a tonne more recognition for their work
Oh, you're British (ton).
Can you please do a cover of Dance on by icehouse or takeing the town
I’ll check it out!
Wow. What a nice bass.
Can you tell me what brand and model is?
Congratulations.
John Taylor is one of my favorite bass players.
After Rio album.
John learned much from the late and great Bernard Edwards.
Thanks! The bass is a status graphite series II that was finished being built in April 1990
Fantastic job!! Would love to you try Music for Chameleons.
I'll check it out!
❤
Nice work, well worthy of a sub :)
Much appreciated!
@3:06 WOWAWEEHAHHHH!!!
You will be a pro
上手い!
xD You make faces like it is some kind of metal. Hahaha.
Perfect! Not easy to play but you do it with great feel. Do you play in a band?
Thank you so much! Yes, I do play in a band and we are currently writing our own stuff and working on a setlist so we can go out gigging. Hopefully this summer!
@@iv4nbass what is your band called? Do you have any videos/website?
My band is called planet 9. We only have an Instagram account under the name planet9band
Planet 9 it is! So you have a band. Great! You have my attention.
That bass looks seems to be on a very low action setting
That is correct, I like to play with a pretty low action.
@@iv4nbass Same with me
Your forehead reminds me of my friend Dylly
Makes it look easy!
