In accidents, unless the person HAS to be moved for some reason, or they can get themselves out, leave them in the car, and call EMS.
exactly, unless the car is on fire or in a dangerous position, leave them. They could have an injury that, moving them, could be made much much worse
As the son of a volunteer/paid firefighter who once had EMT and HazMat certifications (he's retired) I can confirm this is extremely important.
Any serious collision can cause spinal or cervical injuries, in addition to the possibility of a TBI (traumatic brain injury), skull fractures, and more "hidden" issues other than what the average person can see. It is imperative that, unless the victims are in immediate risk of death/further injury or are in severe emotional distress (an accident can be quite traumatic to many people) it is best to leave them in their vehicles and try to keep them calm until help arrives. If they are ambulatory (exiting the vehicle and walking around) it is recommended to have them sit down somewhere to keep still and relax.
Moving someone with a spinal/cervical injury can cause temporary or permanent paralysis. This is why first responders place an immobilizing collar around necks and slide you on a backboard, to try and prevent any further movement of this very important area until doctors can perform a thorough inspection for internal damage.
Yeah, no good deed goes unpunished, so I don’t even stop for accidents anymore, if it isn’t mine. People will sue you for anything.

@@kaylinsmith6921 Ironically on the highway, I drive pretty fast, but not crazy. But if there is someone zooming past me on the fast lane, I feel a free pass to speed up quite a bit for a while because they are probably getting the ticket in my stead lol.
The cammer's driving at 14:16 is nothing but a complete and utter joke. It would have cost him absolutely nothing to just hold back and let the car in, but no, he has "right of way" and how dare anyone take that from him. I just want to say this to anyone who has a similar attitude to the cammer: Imagine if everyone had the same attitude as you. That car would then have to wait until the left lane is completely clear before they move into it, which in traffic like this could take literally several hours. They're likely needing that left lane because they're turning left at some point further up the road, so when they reach that point they would have to just sit there ... and sit there ... and sit there until the left lane clears up, bringing the right lane to a complete standstill. I mean how ridiculous a thought?

Cammer wasn't speeding up. They were maintaining 12-11 mph. Just because you have a signal on doesn't mean you get to jam yourself into someone's lane and hold up traffic. If I was cammer, I would've allowed them in to be fair. But they weren't obligated to do so. Van should've checked if cammer was moving or not (which they were), before switching lanes. These types of shenanigans are what causes and perpetuates traffic jams like this one. Check your mirrors.
@NuggetEternal I already said it wasn't ideal(aka its a shitty move), but it really looks like the cammer is allowing for a larger space to allow them to switch lanes until they actually attempt it (maybe it's the effect of the car in front not maintaining a consistent speed & then stopping, as well as the camera angle making the spacw look bigger)

@@sith6375 It might've been on purpose but they were not speeding up. It stayed at 12 mph and decreased to 11 mph. Also by the time they were signaling left it was already too late. Tough noodles, find another way around. Don't pull crap like that and switch lanes earlier next time.
What really pisses me off about 14:16 is the fact that they thought that was bad enough to save from their dash cam and play in a video. Yeah, it's frustrating, but it happens all the time and not even worth the effort of posting...
Ya if you pay attention to the speeds on the dashcam he didn’t even really have to slam his brakes either. Definitely a waste of a submission.

seems like she let go wheel and allowed car to go in to tree it was a side swipe she had to fight the car a little and she could stayed on the road, car pushing you sideways you need to counter that. looks like she got first hit and she handed control over to car. first crash not her fault but she could done a lot more not to kill the car after first hit
@@stevekenilworth That's possible, but I'm not convinced. She lost complete control for a second as her front wheels met the curb while her back wheels were still on the road, which shifted the angle of the car. I think that once all wheels were over the curb it was too late with such little space and much softer terrain. Also, the car that hits her doesn't try to go towards the middle lane at all before, during, or after the crash.

@8:55 car is going 40 in a 45 to look for their turnoff on a dark road. Cammer has a road rage problem over it, accelerates unsafely and almost causes a collision when their unsafe acceleration doesn't leave enough time for another driver to make their turn. Especially given the cammer is a professional driver they need to reconsider their choices here.

Listen to when the engine starts revving. The other car was still *behind* him at that time. So, alternative theory: He was speeding up to make room *behind* himself for the car in the other lane to merge safely. That other car then decides "no, actually, I'm going to try to speed up and race this truck to cut in front."

Good question. Another good question is what the driver of the white car was thinking. They should have looked left and seen that the pickup was either not turning or was turning late, ie. into the outer lane (how many times have we seen people not staying in their lane while turning). Pickup is at fault, but white car should have avoided being hit. Better to be a little bit late because an idiot made you miss your turn than to be very late because an idiot crashed into you.
@jensjens698 There is a left turn only lane, the one the pickup is in. Left lane is left turn only, right lane is left or straight. This is clearly indicated by road markings, two signs, and the lights.

Guy in the roundabout at 11:45 has his turn signal on for several exits. If it's the left signal, then that's meaningless in a roundabout. If it's the right one then it's the reasons someone pulled in front of you. Proper roundabout signalling is to signal NOTHING until you pass the exit before the one you intend to take, then signal right for your exit.
in the netherlands you *have* to use he let indicator when using the third exit, it’s mandatory

It really looks like the light had turned red before the Subaru actually hit the crosswalk. The other car may have been waiting to make an unprotected left. They still shouldn't have turned, but I think fault might be split in this case.

9:15 was poorly handled. Doesn't matter if they were driving too slow. There is no excuse for you to speed past them before they even got done merging into the other lane fully. This is called sharing a lane which is illegal. Another issue came into play when the person in front cut across the intersection. You should actually be covering the brake pedal while going through intersections because of stuff like this. I would call this immediate self karma.

6:47 Americans build so many lanes but don't know how to use them. I think three lanes, proper signage and knowledge is the best set up for highways. Also, people who are not good at driving or don't want to drive shuld not drive and have other options instead. That would be less cars and less bad drivers on the roads.

It looks to me like the camcar was going to make a left turn coming up, so got into the left lane, and had enough room to do so. Nothing illegal about that. What IS illegal however is cutting across two lanes of traffic, twice, just to brake check someone.
2. Camcar would most likely be at 0 fault because the blue car is committing a reckless driving offense, AS WELL as a hit and run. Blue car would be found 100% at fault and would either be arrested for both charges or be given hefty fines.
@@Moondragon1821 yes he was break checking, but towards the end the traffic in front of them was slowing down which means he was fixing to stop anyway.
