I am still trying to get my mother's medals. We had a military funeral at Arlington in 2013 after a strenuous effort. Her records were lost in a fire. I had little idea what she accomplished as she rarely talked about being in the Army.
What an amazing historic event; Black women in military service in World War II and overseas. WHAT They accomplished IS truly Anazing. To the 6888 Battalion, thank you for your services; in a time when you faced hardships, discrimination, and sexicsm, you Soar!!! It is so inspirational in 2024. 😊😊
