Yes, the first thing I did was put up a windmill that pumps air to the bottom of the water source. The air stone was put in a pail which was sunken in the middle of the pond and was suspended above the bottom so it doesn't get plugged.

Thanks dear Evelyn Dabonor. You'll still need an aerator in a RAS system. As you know the RAS system removes the waste and recycles the water back into the system ,and at some point there is need for draining some % of the water and adding up of fresh water. Water that recycled over and over will lose dissolved oxygen at some point. At a younger age they won't neccesarily need an aerator, but as they grow older nd consume more feed, an aerator will be very much needed
The paw paw leaves used there is a preventive medication from bacterial infection. Also the enzyme contained in paw paw leaves helps with feed digestion

Hello Farmlady. Your videos are awesome. But you spend toooooooooo much time explaining very simple concepts. For example in this video, the theme is aeration. But you didnt start talking about aeration until after 2 minutes and 32 seconds. That is an eternity in RUclips!!. I know you must have an INTRO, a STORY BODY and an OUTRO....but if you dont get inot your point on time, it makes your videos boring, meanwhile your content is very informative and extremely useful.

Yes, it works with electricity and when power is out, it can last fro 8hours
