Being completely American the thought of fried cucumbers sounds weird but this dish was soooooooo tasty looking we had to try it. Wow! It's in our recipe book now. Delicious and full of veggies, we can't get enough! Thanks again.

Why cook the cucumber separately and add water then in the end mix the cooked cucumber minus the water, why not just saute meat then add the black fungus and cucumber then season it with salt. . .
Very nice straightforward recipe and deftly cooked. I'm guessing this dish is from Guangdong but not sure. Its funny to see the dodgy hygiene in the kitchen and the questionable tap water but everything gets cooked at high heat so its all safe. Chinese people wisely almost never eat any food raw.

Black Fungus is my favorite thai ingredient. It's closer in texture to lightly sautéed cabbage, and it just loves stir fry. It's awesome.
