Man you can't really beat that ride, the weather and twisty's, what a great looking day. This video is really getting me pumped up for some road trips this summer.
We were so lucky with the weather, Wales can be very very wet, and the whole of the UK has been pretty wet recently, so I was so happy it was lovely for the fun bits :-)

@@HippoDrones I'm so lucky & don't take it for granted. As a Luton boy I return to see my family often & sometimes take one of the bikes. It's so busy on the roads down there & restricted that I love to return home to the valleys again.

Glad I decided to take a break and catch up on some Tube watching. What a nice relaxing ride this was. You are so right, sometimes we just have to ride and not worry about the cameras and such. That bike really sounds good when you open it up, I bet it sounds super cool from your seat.

This was mainly a more relaxed ride due to the police presence, not that I'd ever break a speed limit ociffer! ;-D
The bike def sounds fruity... the baffle shot out somewhere in Wales on this trip, not sure when, but it has fruited up the noise levels! :-D

Sorry to hear the weather wasn't great on the way to Chester but I'm glad it was so nice on the day of this ride, it was bloody gorgeous.

The weather on the way up to Chester was not fun, but it was amazing to visit my mate and his wife, and well worth it to get out on these roads! :-)
Aye, gonna be busy, but I can't wait, got a camping trip with Pezza coming up, and then am off to Yorkshire to do some trail riding with Biking Buddies, which I am hugely looking forward to! :-)

Such a beautiful area. Horseshoe is fabulous but dropping the limit to 40mph was a bit ridiculous. You're right about riding without cameras for the sheer love of riding, it's easy to get sucked into thinking of making vids on every ride.
40 was definitely too slow, but at least it wasn't full of those average speed cameras!

I like the horseshoe pass I haven’t been up there in a few years and it was in a car
but yeah the views are vast and go on further than the eye can see it’s very pretty
I bet there’s a nice camping spot around there maybe even some wild ones 😊

I actually haven't recorded "properly" on a trip with friends yet as I'm too busy enjoying it. That area is absolutely stunning. very impressed by the pass. Worth it for a look!! Wales is suuuuuuuuuch a nice place, really enjoyed the short weekend trip I had there last year. Time is the enemy :'( I wish we could live in a world where ai did all the jobs and we just rode bikes :P
Yeah sometimes one does need a motivator to get up out of bed, pain in the ass then when you miss half the day eh! The ONLY joy of traffic, if you can even call it joy :P Lovely spot amigo!

The pass was beautiful... there are another 2 videos from the trip and they only get better... glorious place to go play bikes!
I need that motivator, but I find it very tiring doing a lot of things, I need my down time too, and this trip combined with my subscriber meet, and Saddlebags73's ride and the explore home after... it all wiped me out, been a bit of a zombie at work and had not energy to get out of bed today on my one day off this week.
Totally agree with you. I only film about 5-10% of when I am riding. I am a rider first and a RUclipsr second.
I've not managed to keep the cameras off as well as you, but I do very much enjoy riding with them switched off/not mounted :-)
I've been the Ponderosa many times, the average speed cameras have ruined it now. The Rhug Estate (on the left as you start your close out) is a good brew/grub stop.
If you come to the Peak District on your UK travels, give me a shout- either road or dirty-bike riding.
The Peak District is on my to do list, as is getting out on your lanes with you at some point mate :-)

If you're in that area try the Old Stores motorbike cafe. Much better food and atmosphere. It's where we usually start our trips into N Wales.

You're on my playground but just be careful. I noticed your speedo went up to 53mph in the new 40mph limit. Personally I don't give a damn if you want to do cartwheels or wheelies but what the majority of people don't seem to realise is there are white squares on the road which are known as 'Pilot Marks'. Yes, North Wales use their Chopper to check speeds and the marks can be seen from the top of the pass where you saw the Police. Pilot or Vascar can be used from that distance as well. These are speed detection devices. Not all use Lazer 20/20. Good luck and ride safe
The Police have some trick kit for catching people going a couple of mph too many... be nice if they had kit that was able to catch bike thieves etc as easily! 😀

I think the pass looks like a horseshoe, not sure on the Ponderosa... Wales is in the west, and some of them are pretty wild though, so could be a wild west thing 🤣

Why don’t you ride up the old horse shoe, it runs up the middle of the valley, awesome! And then over worlds end to Minera and Wrexham!

@@HippoDrones yes it’s a road, the hills are full of back roads, best check google maps but normally very little traffic as everyone rides the main roads
