Okay, guys, I don't have a problem with 2004's The Batman. I was just making a joke about how young Shady didn't like ANY animated Batman that was different than Bruce Timm's for biased reasons.

trust me Shady, I was the same place and it's totally understandable.
Kevin Conroy was Batman for nearly 2 decades with his tenure ending when JLU ended and just when that show ended then after Batman Begins came out WB commissioned a new series to be made to promote it and that's how we got The Batman, even though the series wasn't tied to it.
so for us to have gone 20yrs of Kevin to now seeing a new incarnation, yeah it was going to be hard and it's only recently folks have reevaluated The Batman and see it as a good series
Also it has the best movies where Batman actually fights Dracula

Honestly, even if you did have a problem with it, I can totally respect that opinion. The Batman was definitely more of a unique flavor of Batman show. I can understand how jarring it would be to go from Batman TAS (an incredibly long running series) to The Batman's more fantastical, exaggerated style and brand new voice cast.
Sorry for the joke flying over my head, autism doesn't do me any favors sometimes, lol. It was a good joke though.

A lot of people point to this show and mention its silver age roots, but what most forget to mention is that it's so SINCERE. It's not talking down to the audience, it's not wink-wink-nudge-nudge parodying, it's not ashamed of the source material. You can tell the writers truly love what they're making and what it means, and that can seem pretty rare sometimes. Especially in superhero movies. Thanks MCU, thanks Joss Whedon.

The X-Men movies also liked the shit on the comic book roots too so it wasn't just MCU specifically.

Every episode is just so perfect, with cheesy villains and schemes, songs that slapped (yes I still replay the Birds of Prey song to this day, fight me), cheesy lines and the perfect blend of serious messages and action scenes. Plus the specials were always awesome, I have vivid memories geeking out over Batman becoming a green lantern, a cowboy and even a training arc with a guy in a jungle n stuff. Show just slapped in general, and I expect more videos, Shady!

Another great thing about Chill of the Night is also that its structure fits perfectly into Brave and the Bold being an adaptation of an really old story (like its based on a Golden Age Batman story), having Batman "team up" with other heroes (properly one of the better ways to justify Specter and Phantom Stranger to appear at all) and it was filled to the brim with fan service for long time Batman fans.
So despite its darker tones doesn't it break from Brave and the Bolds actual structure.

It was a really fun time for both of us; I'm sure it'll be a fun time for you, too.

One of my favourite episodes of the show involves the Spectre and the Phantom Stranger having a bet about how Batman would respond if he came face to face with Joe Chill after all these years.

With Bader, his biggest live-action role was Oswald in "The Drew Carey Show", and as for voice-acting, the biggest one for me is Hoss Delgado from "Billy & Mandy"
Best three episodes for me are:
"Mayhem of the Music Meister" - a musical episode with Neil Patrick Harris playing the titular villain, who can hypnotize people through song.
"The Mask of Matches Malone" - Batman loses his memory and *thinks* he's his undercover persona, and the Birds of Prey sing an innuendo-laden song about all the members of Justice League.
"Emperor Joker" - drawn right from the comics, where the Joker gains the powers of Bat-Mite (basically a fanboy version of Mxyzptlk), and uses them to twist reality to his whim.

The next appearance of Jamie actually starts with a flashback to Batman and Ted just having a casual conversation about gadgets and such while fighting some goons. This show is honestly one of my favorite superhero shows of all time. While it does include newer characters like Jaime Reyes (to which Brave and the Bold was the first show to PROPERLY introduce the character through media outside of the comics and one episode of Smallvile) but it's also such a fantastic love letter to the silver age of comics in both its style and choices of character design!! Sure, the later season(s) can have their slower moments and the formula can get a bit stale...but it doesn't stop the fact that the people behind this show knew what they were doing and creates something truly special.

The first Blue Beetle, Dan Garret, actually did have superpowers. Originally gained from a super vitamin but later in a republish he gained his powers from a supernatural scarab he found during an archeological dig in Egypt. Ted Kord is the second Blue Beetle created as a knockoff Batman. Who ironically then inspired Nite Owl from Watchmen.

I’m sure I’m like the 100th person to comment this but final episode of Batman: brave and the bold is truly something to behold.
As for Ted kord, there is an episode where booster gold goes back in time with Batman to hang out with the second blue beetle one last time. There’s also an episode opener where Ted and Batman talk about their gadgets and a flashback in a Jaime episode.

I loved this show as a kid! It introduced me to Blue Beetle and plenty of other DC characters.

At night he's Batman, but by day he's Hoss Delgado.

The music is actually a homage to Cowboy Bebop.
Also I'm glad I'm not the only one that screamed Batman when the instruments went up.

    Diedrich Bader.
    - Hoss Delgado _(The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy)_
    - Batman (various), Booster Gold _(Justice League Action!),_ Ace the Bat-Hound _(Krypto)_
    - Andrew Hacker _(Bones),_ Oswald Harvey _(The Drew Carey Show)_
    … and many more.
Also, the opening theme of *extremely* similar to the 90s _The Tick_ cartoon theme.

Though Dedrick Batter played Batman more than once. I’ll always remember him as one of Drew’s best Friends on the Drew Carry Show.
Also The Batman was an absolutely fantastic show.

This is one of my favorite animated Batmen for a good reason: he's that nice middle ground between Adam West and Kevin Conroy in terms of portrayal. Obviously he's got a ton of Bronze Age inspiration, but I'm talking Batman actors that I'm reminded of, not comic interpretations since that's literally stated in the name of the show

Blue beetle is my favourite character. As a kid, it can be easier to relate to younger heroes as your chances of being them seems closer

I have a ton of nostalgia for the Music Meister episode. You’d definitely enjoy it (even if you don’t end up covering it, but it’d be awesome if you did)!

This show, even when I was, like, 4-7, had some pretty in depth stories.
There's a christmas episode about the Red Tornado, who is a robot with human appearance (that can generate tornados, duh) tries to comprehend christmas by creating a family, starting with a son, who of course turns evil. At the end you just have Batman, freaking Batman being the emotional support, comforting RT on his loss and failed attempt at creating a family.
Also, spoilers, but the original blue beetle DOES, in a way, appear in the show alongside this BB. I won't spoil how because it is a killer episode, but be tuned for that if and when you cover more episodes.

Deidrich Bader also played Oswald in the Drew Carey Show, and has been in a lot of movies and TV shows since.
