Glad you’re enjoying the bike. I just past 500 miles on mine and have a similar list for highway rides. I swapped my GP shorty for a the Vance and Hines and wow! What a difference in sound and pep. Found a medium sized tank bag by Chase Harper that works well for gloves, keys, wallet, water etc and adding a tail rack and bag later this week. Also trying out a palm rest throttle control to help with numbness. I’ve heard that the squeaky front brake is common on these- mine too. Be safe and have Fun!
Thanks Jason. Funny I just ordered a Chase Harper bag myself but one that will fit on the luggage rack I just installed. I heard those bags are pretty good for the money. Can't wait to get it and finally have some storage. Yeah the V&H exhaust I think sounds the best out of all the ones out there. My friend also recommended the palm throttle control too. I'm going to check that out as well. Thanks for the comment, enjoy the ride!
Mine is coming in 2 weeks. Can't wait!
Awesome! You're going to love it!
I too am waiting for my 500. It was scheduled for early July delivery and has been pushed back to early August
SUCKS!
Still have it? How you liked it
Thanks for the insight! I’m impatiently waiting for my 500, also first bike. It was supposed to be here last week 🤦♂️
Hope it helps. Seems like the entire Rebel line is hard to find these days. Which is why I had to buy new as there is nobody selling used ones that aren’t asking almost the same price as new. Good luck. Hopefully it will arrive soon. It’s worth the wait and I get so many compliments on it even from experienced riders. A
@@Mudslidex1 thank you very much. Ya I am hoping it will be here this week 🙏
What is the rack you put on the back, what brand/kind ? I am looking for something like that and it looks really nice
It's this one that I bought on Amazon. You can usually find it anywhere from $59-$69 bucks. Sometimes as low as $50 on ebay www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B7ZXNSB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did you change your audio set up ?
Yes, I've been trying out different combinations. At one point I had a mic going directly into the DJI Osmo cam, which is easiest, but turns out the noise causes the audio signal to clip and distort which many people have been complaining about with this camera. So this time I used the Fodsports bluetooth comm system that I use for Music/Phone etc, and I use that built in mic to send the the audio signal over Bluetooth to my phone recording app. This works pretty well but its extra work synching the audio to the video in post production. Plus the audio levels are very low. I had to do a lot of EQ and compression and boosting on that signal to make it sound audible. Next time I'm going to use my old Gopro 3 with an external mic and see how that works for audio.
@@Mudslidex1 yeah I think the GoPro 3 might be the simplest ,most effective/ efficient way. Great video, hopefully get a good fathers day gift, ride safe 🤙
@@PhillipReina Thanks!
