    Did you have overheating in your car as a symptom?
    I have the exact same looking leak but im confused why the leak would overheat my jeep when there's plenty of coolant still in the system and reservoir. Its making me think that something else is broken and adding to the pressure of the system and it just happens that the coolant neck you replaced is where the pressure is releasing this excess coolant. If you tell me your jeep was overheating even with coolant from that small leak then I'll know the two are related.
    Really appreciate it. Definite 👍

      It only had overheating issues because the coolant was low.

      If there is air getting into the coolant system it will over heat it needs to be properly sealed I have the same problem

    Take the whole bracket off to make the job much easier.

      Thank you for the comment, however, I just prefer to have the bracket hold the part while I work on it.

    Was it overheating or did you just notice coolant leaking under the car? We have a 2013 with I believe the same problem but I just noticed coolant under the car. Coolant reservoir is still at correct level and I don’t see much evidence elsewhere of a leak besides underneath the cap assembly there

    How do you bleed these cars I’m confused is it the traditional way like wait for bubbles to stop on radiator cap? And when does radiator open is it when the thermostat on half of the speedometer ?

    • @blackshirtbuilds7316
      @blackshirtbuilds7316  Год назад +2

      Yeah I top it off and run it a bit and just put the cap back on and top the reservoir to the correct level and after a few times driving it will bleed itself. The. Just keep an eye on the reservoir to make sure it stays at the proper level.

    Do you have to drain the coolant before you replace the part? I'm about to do this myself.

    • @blackshirtbuilds7316
      @blackshirtbuilds7316  Год назад +3

      No, not on mine. It had leaked down far enough that I lost no additional coolant. If yours isn’t leaking you’ll a little bit but I still wouldn’t drain it.
